Roof panel arrived the day before we finished. Owen managed to prep the panel ready to go, but we'll have to wait until 2011 week 1 for Marc to get it fitted.

Is the panel cut from a car or new?

I think the "Targa" top on it as it currently sits lets in plenty of light though the sunroof delete to go on is very nice!

The front scuttle attached threw me off since you guys have already replaced that piece.

Busy, busy, busy.... the roof is now on, just awaiting final fold edge detailing.

Owen was welding the cage to the upper shell when I took the photos. We're pretty close now, I think the plan is to take the shell down for stripping & coating when we go to collect the finished 9m11RS shell (this project is in the 964 forum).

Thank you for the update.
Looks amazing.

Loved watching your 993 RSR & speedster projects, but have to say this one is going the derection of my dreams.

That's interesting, I've never noticed that opening at the front of the N/S floor before? what lives in there? is this on all 993's?

It's the fuel pump cavity.

Blimey that seems a little extreme just to house the pump. Every day is a school day, thanks

Try changing the pump with a fuel in the tank...squeeze the fuel feeder line, but its quite tight in that little cavity. Did it once on jackstands, never again. Its not as hard on the lift, but still an awkward spot.

Cheers,

Mike
