Sorry it's been a while but other projects were commanding attention....
Car arrives then immediately the car gets stripped so we can start preparing the body panels. As part of the build process we have to align the doors and wings (fenders) before the shell is painted, hence why the wings were the first item removed from the donor car, along with the spoiler/engine lid and bumpers. As it happens, one of the wings was very badly repaired from a previous incident so we opted to replace it with a new one. The wings were primered blue to match the final colour of the car.

The next stage is to fully prepare the shell itself. During the e-coat process all the previous paint is removed from the panels, hence now exposing minor imperfections which were previously filled & stoppered (sometimes by the factory). These areas thus have to be reworked and re-stoppered before the shell is colour primed on top of "skuffing" the entire surface with scotchbrite before the shell is etched and primed.
Marc is having one last check over before the shell goes into the booth.

Next job is to paint the underside, hence shell on the lift, trolley off and onto the spit before rolling it back into the booth for stage 2. The guys will dry flat the skimmed areas of the rear quarters to check their work, once happy the rear quarters will get a second and final coat of primer at the same time as the floor.

Probably. We have a lightly damaged 964 on the jig being straightened, I think Marc was in-and-out of the fab shop triangulating the apertures as a reference for the straightening work.

I must have been under a rock......this thread has so much going for it. RS, 9meister, complete build, hell there's even a 993 Speedster thrown in just in case we get bored.
Colin, can you finance such a project over say 30 years? I'm off to work out the shipping details.
