Nice hangin' with ya ...
I've decided to go with a bit more comfort (R8), so I'm selling my C4S. I need to find the right buyer in Canada who will appreciate the following story:
1996 C4S in Grand Prix white over black with 87,000 miles of which I am the third owner of this original US-based car. I imported it myself to Canada about five years ago. This car has had a comprehensive ($18K) top-end rebuild at Weissach about 10,000 miles ago to correct the common valve guide issue with completely updated guide metallurgy. I honestly believe this might be one of the really nice 993s in our fair city (Vancouver), and in addition it has the following enhancements:
PSS - 9 adjustable suspension with ROW M030 sway bars and upper strut bar
Guard 40/60 Limited Slip Differential
996 TT hollow-spoke wheels
RS lightweight flywheel / RS clutch
RS motor mounts
RSR mufflers / Wide ovals
Phillips Ultinon HIDs
Turbo S ducts / front bumper delete with Hella MicroDE xenon fogs
Ruf 3-spoke steering wheel and updated airbag
Recaro Topline sport seats (heated and ventilated) with lumbar adjustment
C2S Split grill - painted to match
Aluminum gauge rings
Sound by Alpine / Audobon / Focal with iPod interface and lifetime satellite radio license
I'm going to ask $47K Cdn and wait for someone who understands :-) I will miss the insight (and slippery slope) offered on this forum, but suspect I may be back some day?? Many thanks, Doug

I spent a good ten minutes drooling on this car at the recent Mike J BBQ/wrench session and it is truly fantastic. Everywhere you look there is extra attention to detail, from the color-matched split grill to the positioning of the tweeters.
I sat it in it briefly and the TopLine Sports are mind-blowing, as is the RUF wheel.
Can't believe it is for sale, if I could swing it I wouldn't hesitate. Whoever ends up with it will be a very happy guy or gal.
Best of luck with the sale Doug!

Just when I decided that the next car should be a white S...
I always lusted after your car at Mike's BBQs and thought it was an utterly deceptive example. It looks like a 20k mi garage queen. Just the way I'd like it...well kept, well sorted and with a fresh top end. I wish you could hang on to it until the winter but I can't fathom this car will last more than a couple of weeks. Best of luck moving to the R8.

hope you are getting the V10 R8 the V8's are not much faster then the 993. Sorry I got to poke fun @ the V8 R8, it's just like the Acura NSX looks awesome, just not as fast as it looks.
Anyway, your car is super duper clean, & in great shape, some one will be lucky to get it! I also LOVE the seats, a couple of Pics from Mike J cook out....

That would be an absolutely embarrassing comparison for the 993.
