Nice to see that there are other Rennlist Vespa owners out there. Maybe we should start our own OT Vespa photo thread?

Hi Colin.
I'm going to give it my best shot to be there on 1st May. My girls have violin lessons Saturday mornings but I'm going to reschedule. Can't miss the unveiling of the speedster (and the Vespa)
Regards.
Costa.

PSSST!!

Can you guys keep a secret??

Yes?

Great!

Please don't tell the wife, but I've now bought another Vespa for us as well.

It's a non-runner 2006 125 GT which has a bit of damage after a failed theft attempt. I should be collecting it tomorrow but I'll have to hide it at work until I finish JJ's LX and clear out my garage at home. Someone out there needs to order another 9mRS pretty soon, otherwise this sickness may have to continue for months!

Apparently they do dyno these things...

Default Its a disease....

The sickness continues. Picked up the 125GT from Edinburgh on Wednesday, got back at 8:30pm and as soon as we had it in the shop, me and Marc managed to get it running, which was not as simple as it seems as the iginition lock had been smashed to pieces in an attempted theft. Luckily we had the master key for the immobiliser system, so a bit of improvisation with the wiring and we were soon driving it around the block, including Marc's wife. I told the missus about it when I got back, so she called in last night after work to have a look. Another flash around the block and she was sold!

Hence, engine still warm, I started taking it to pieces for another repaint, although this time we're not doing a full chassis strip because I want to ride it when the sun is shining. Now Marc is interested in buying another one to match for him and his missus!

In the meantime, we Should have build progress soon on JJ's soon, expecting the shell to come back from a bit of custom painting anyday now so then I can start the assembly with all the parts that I've been busy cleaning up in my garage in my spare time.

Marc has now bought another 125GT for himself.

The current plan is that we are going to repaint mine in 997GT3RS Signal Orange and his in Viper Green, both with black wheels and black graphics......

You only live once ....

I've resisted the temptation to get two wheel transport for 32 years, so just think of all the fun I've missed by not having a Vespa earlier.
