Brand and weight of oil over the miles would be very useful information. I do know that formulations have changed.

120,000 miles and uses a quart of Mobil 1 every 2,200 to 2,400 miles depending on use. Valve covers and chain covers weep enough oil to smell it burning so my consumption may go down when I get these issues sorted.

(BTW, when I used to "top-off" the oil level, the car used 1 quart every 1750 miles but that has changed to the lower consumption listed above as soon as I began leaving the oil "half full" on the dipstick per the recommendations here on rennlist.)

In about 60 miles i will have 100k. No rebuild and use maybe 1/2 quart per 5k miles with relatively aggressive driving. Currently using BP Racing 20W-50

I have 121k and fairly new chain/valve covers. I am using ~1qt per 6k miles. I put the Brad Penn 20w50 in.

This is definitely reassuring. The problem I've encountered is too often the seller (dealer or inattentive owner) doesn't have (or admit to having) any idea how often oil has to be added, so it's hard to tell when looking at cars.

I have ~128,400 miles. Not 100% sure on oil consumption yet. Added a quart after 2k miles, but I am dropping a good bit of oil in the garage as I need to R&R valve cover gaskets, timing chain covers & rear main seal.

Currently using Shell Rotella 5w40 synthetic.

113,000 no rebuild; that's really not uncommon at all.

I used to think it burned more oil than it probably does, but I haven't driven enough miles since not filling above 1/2 on the dipstick to really know.

93kmi, no internal engine work. I use Amsoil 5-40 Euro.

Doesn't use any oil in between oil changes @ 7000mi. But my timing chain covers are starting to seep.

I have 101,500 and use less then 1 Qt every 4000 miles. No rebuild. Power is great - it has a chip - fuel economy is great - 25mpg at 70 mph! I have had the car since 30k miles so I know it has not had any work. Did replace the clutch.

171K miles. Not sure about the oil usage, but it needs seals all around the engine. No rebuild of the tranny or engine.

120K and I have a bit of leaking from the valve covers and chain covers. I add a quart every now and then.

97k, have added 1 qt in 3k miles, still on original clutch too, still pulls strong and sounds great with the Fisters.
