WOW, Chris! CONGRATS!
I've completely missed your original post. Boy I'm glad I saw it now!
My wife has endometriosis also, or at least she used to (I don't know for sure) which meant we couldn't have babies, or at least it would be hard & also as you said, only cure really is to get pregnant...
Anyways, about 15 years ago, all of a sudden she was pregnant! We didn't expect it but were happy! Little baby boy was born and life changed.
Then 7 tears later, we wanted to have another child and thought since she had been pregnant, endometriosis would be gone and we could have another child.
Not so fast... Endometriosis had renewed (or something) and we were not able to have a child. Went through one fertility treatment, another and then I said "enough" but my wife begged and asked for "let's try one more time" (hmm... that sounds kinda "funny"...) which we did and again it looked like no luck and she said "ok, it's not happening" but couple of days later, she had the same "symptoms" and man, she was pregnant!
8 or so months later and another boy was born, little too early and small but in the end, everything was good!!!
Chris, you and your wife are about to experience something you've never experienced before and something you'll never be able to unless you have a child. It will be a pain in the ***, stressful, money pit and all of the bad things you hear about (doesn't that kinda sound like owning a Porsche?) but in the end, the reward is worth all the trouble and then some!
I'm so happy to hear this, here's to your wife & you and below a photo of a little man who is a proof that you can do it even when you have endometriosis.
Meet the "test tube Lenny".
