Hi Chris and your brave wife, just to tell you that our first born -a daughter - had to have her birth induced at a similar stage. All went well, she has just had her 30th birthday. It is a trying time for you both and we'll be sending you our best thoughts. TT & AT

Wow.... you all are getting real close to 'the day'!!!!!!
Chris, your life will not be the same, but it will be better. For me it really got better when your child can do things with you (at about 8 yr) My oldest just turned 22 and is a college graduate. I look back and I am amazed how the time flew by. I am also very pleased to have spent time 'playing' (doing many things that we both liked), taking things apart, working on cars, doing paintball, etc!!!!!!
Good Luck and The Best of Wishes to All of You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck!
My best advice to you, pack a sandwich and keep it in your pocket, you might be in for a looong day.
When we went to the hospital for our first, Sylvia had to endure about 18 hours of labor. Given the same advice, I had a meal packed, but it was across the room and the last 6 hours I couldn't leave Sylvia's side as she had the Ninja-grip-of Death on my hand. Talk about torture...my wife is in pain, I am hungry and having my life squeezed out of me through my right hand, and I have a ham and turkey with provalone on wheat sandwich staring at me that I can't reach...
There is some pretty funny video that my dad has after the birth, Sylvia and I are stuffing our faces with El Pollo Loco (delivered by my dad) and our newborn is in a basket next to the bed screaming.
Anyway, all my best to you and Pam!
Kids put you whole life into a new perspective.
Huge Congrats!

Chris, I truly wish you the best for the safe arrival of your child. I can tell you that, as others here have said, the journey just gets better as you watch your child grow. I have a 3.5 year old son who loves all things Porsche, and at this age you can really start to do some fund things with them. And to answer your question, YES......you can get a seat in your 993 to carry the little ones; I have a Recaro Young Sport seat which is great from very young till they are > 40 pounds.

he he he, enjoy it while you can, it might be a while before you get a complete night's worth, but then again, you never know.
Our first hardly slept, he was up every 2 hours. Our second slept through the night from day one.

Thanks again -- we are just so thankful we were able to make it full term, or at least full term enough. We had a scare at 27 weeks which ended us up in the hospital. I was in Japan, Pam was admitted as an emergency -- incubator brought into the room, anesthesiologist in the room plus a whole bunch of other people -- Pam was so scared, I was on a plane back to America hoping and praying they didnt have to deliver.
So, we are so very happy to make this milestone!!
