Default Euro Turbo front bumper install...FINISHED!!!

I started my new bumper install on Saturday and after about 5 hours I was ready to take it out for paint, but I'll have to wait until Tue. The MAShaw Turbo S Ducts (No Affil.) fit perfect.
The most difficult part was removing the front wheel liners. Many thanks to http://www.pcarworkshop.com and http://p-car.com/ for the bumper removal DYIs!!!

Thanks axl911 for your heads up and encouragement. You were right, this project is fairly easy. I replaced the entire interior of my 87, 911 (200+ hours) last year and this bumper thing is a piece of cake!

I will have the paint/body shop fill the two LP holes and I will design a license plate holder that is lower down on the bumper.

I got this one http://inventivaconcepts.com/fplk.html , but I am currently running without a front plate. I'm sure you could make something similar.

Jerry,
How will you attach the bumper welting (black trim)?

Andreas,
I hope that this is what you mean...
I noticed that the black beading between the body and the bumper on the old bumper was put on with a double stick tape and then simply stapled with a staple gun. I planned on using 3M trim adheasive and 1/8" staples and staple it.

Below is photo of old bumper and trim notice the yellow tape and the metal staples and the small staple holes in the polyprop. bumper.

What about the black grille that goes in the ducts?

I assume you mean the Turbo S ducts?

I saw a thread here on Rennlist where someone put a black nylon screen door screen material that was wrapped over the back of the Turbo S Duct holes and secured around the outside of the duct tube some how. I want to allow air through, but not bugs...

Any suggestions?

No, I mean the three main ducts. Look at the picture of Mike J's car. There are black horizontal slats. It also looks like you're missing the rubber seal between the headlight "wings" (frontmost section of the fenders) and the bumper.

Those simply snap on from behind once the bumper is ready for installation.

Jerry,
Exactly. I would suggest stainless steel staples.

Here is a photo of the plastic grill that just snaps on behind the openings and the rubber beading that goes between the headlight wing and the bumper will be put on after I get it back from the paint shop.

Andreas, thanks for the SS staple suggestion! I will have to figure out where to get them...ACE?

Jhubs. On the black beading for the bumper, don't staple it.... yet. The beading needs to be adjusted so it is flush with the bumper and fender. Hard to describe, but you will need to move it slightly in or out. I used double stick tape on mine. Once installed, friction will hold it securely in place.

BTW, your documentation on replacing the carpet really helped me replaced mine with the RS carpet kit.
