I'm reinstalling my front bumper tomorrow and was looking for info on how to attach the beading between fender and bumper. How did the 3m trim adhesive hold up? Did you staple it as well?

Thanks
Jim

How did you install the bead trim? It was noted to install, fit and adjust, then staple?

hey there, I did this install this past January....I followed the instructions using this link:

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...der-seals.html

my thread re questions is here:

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...-question.html

basically you need to have the strip flush with the rear of the bumper...

I used industrial glue and 1/4" T-50 (rust proof) staples/gun...once you have the strip glued...you staple closest to the lip as possible

I found the 1/4" staples too short to bend so you might consider slightly longer ones...

Did you guys align the back of the trim with the inner hidden edge of the bumper as mentioned?

Yes- thee are little pieces of lead that go on the ends of the stippling that you can bend around and sort of clip in- the post mentioned earlier on this is pretty good at describing this- I am not!

I just glued the trim on at first. After a few months I noticed a little movement, so I went back and stapled the tabs in a few key spots.
