BTW, I frequent another forum called: propilotworld.com
I turned Ron onto it earlier, and then started wondering why I hadn't posted it for everyone here. You must have a Commercial Certificate or higher to join...But lots of good people over there. I'm known as: KingAirRick

Hi Ron...that really sucks. Unfortunately it's the nature of the industry, especially at the moment.
Anyone who can get through a career in aviation without have been made redundant/furloughed/laid off or whatever, can consider themselves very fortunate.
I've had it happen twice to me, although the second time was a blessing in disguise with a sweet deal to merge into the parent company's seniority.
Good luck.

Welcome to Rennlist-Well that about covers it but can you fly anything with only a center mounted stick? I know the P-3 has a wheel.

Ten great years in the Air Force flying F-4s and F-15s.

One F-15 "War Story". From standing start on the runway to supersonic at 10,000 feet--45 seconds. Varioram in almost as quick!

Preferably Boeing. I feel good in a B-767.

One of my students is with Air Canada. He was on the Air Bus a long time ago and now on a B-767. He prefers the Boeing as well. Air Bus cockpit talk...oh no, what now?

Private only here, piper archer's and warriors. Love the fact that it's not a job and it's only for fun, albeit I'd love to have a job flying warbirds for a living based at Duxford.

Very nice and capable aircraft. We routinely fly 12 hour plus legs at M.85.

The work is mostly long range from London. Best job I ever had!
