How Many Here are Professional Pilots?!!
A friend of mine who is in the Porsche servicing business calls the 993 the 'pilots choice'!!
He's probably not far wrong , three of my work colleagues run 993's and I've had occasion to chat to another rennlister by mail recently , only to discover that he too is a pilot by trade..
I can see why it would be the 'pilots choice' .. It's got that wonderful mechanical yet bulletproof feel that we (mostly!!) enjoy in our occupational lives.
So how many of us are logging on here??

I'm not a professional pilot, but I got my Pilot's license in 1983. I have 300+ hours of VFR in the book. Don't fly much anymore. I have met (via PMs) several pilots on this Forum that have helped with my questions and have given great advice.
Thanks Mike and Rick!
Sitting right seat in my friend's KingAir 200B. Great plane!

Wow!
Not as many pro pilots as I would have imagined (as yet) but plenty of interesting answers!
I have to laugh at the 'master caution' comment. I didn't know this existed on the 993 til after I bought her , but got a giggle out of canceling the master caution after say the emerg brake is applied or the fuel runs low. I used to fly 737's about 10 years ago so the master caution philosophy really brought me back..
Been flying Airbus for 10 years now , but still miss the 'feel' of the 737 .. Maybe a bit like 996 compares in lack of feel to the 993
Sorry .. don't go there!

Johan, that's a sweet looking cockpit. You've got to love flying the 74. Do you guys allow jumpseaters? I'd love to hop over to Hong Kong some time on my days off.
