Small world. I love the pic of the 993 next to the Falcon. We have a MD-88 with N number N993DA. Sometime when it's in the hanger for a maint. visit I'd love to get a pic of it next to the 993!
On the subject of fuel affecting the profession yes it will. If things don't change I think we will go back to the way they were years ago when flying was something only the well to do could afford. At some point Joe Six pack won't be able to buy a ticket to take his kids to Orlando to see the rodent. At some point Americans got it into their heads that they sould be able to fly for less that it cost to drive. With the MD-88 burning 1000 gallons/hour in cruise that just won't work. Look for less domestic flights going to fewer small and medium sized cities. International will continue to grow.

I might as well chime in, I was a CFI, CFII back in the early 80s, flew out of San Jose and Palo Alto airports here in NorCal, still have my Commercial license but have not flown in ages. I really miss it, I went to the AOPA Expo in San Jose last Friday, it got all the juices flowing again!!! Great to know there are a lot of 993-loving aviators out there. Cheers, Paul

Seems the vast majority of pilot's here are fixed wing. I've been flying helo's for the last 18 or so years. Currently driving a 964, but have had a 993 in the past; both are wonderful machines!
