OK, you can say 996 is faster, lighter, (it is) or this and that but if you say 996 looks better than 993, there's certainly something wrong with your head.

So, if thinking that 993 looks better and well, is better than 996, I'm a ******** (and voted so).

This thread is hilarious. Imagine if the 996 guys filled 4 pages every time there was a disparaging comment about 996s on the 993 board. John would be out buying storage every week.

If you read the thread on the 996 board you would see that with the exception of one or two posts, the 996 guys said great things about both cars. Since I owned both a 993 and a 996 for several years I've followed both forums and I can tell you your cars receive very fair treatment on the 996 board. I'm not sure you guys can make the same claim.

Just a fairly unbiased observation. Not looking to pick a fight.

Instead of being ********* to fellow porsche owners (owners of any performance car for that matter), we should be focusing on using them (and I am NOT talking about using fellow porsche owners ) or, well, if you are a woman, enjoying them. We would all be a little happier.

Hi Jim...I think this thread is just for the sake of good fun...if there's anybody taking it seriously...he's probably a tiny out of order ********!!!

In the South Florida driver's group, we have several 996 owners among us and never had bickering problems related to their water drinking engines...although I prefer vodka!

Now seriously...most of us have a profound respect for all 911s and their previous and heritage (OK...except for the front engine ones!!! )

That was taken out of content, it was directed at a few members, not all. There is a reason why I said that, and they know who they are, I can’t believe you guys have 4 pages of this. I said it I am not sorry I said it! Again it was not directed at all of you, I never insulted your cars, I insulted some of the owners. I mean my car does look" like a Boxster" and it isn’t a” real Porsche” so what do I know?
I have had a few PM's of this and most of them agreed with my statement, and they were from other 993 guys! I think most of you have seen the humor. Thanks Jim B...That was my point. I think some should read the post. I did not insult the car, just some owners. Can you really deny what I said in the post is not true. Maybe it wasn’t really fair, and I would explain why I said that but in the end it wouldn’t matter. If you took it personal you shouldn’t have it wasn’t directed and you...They know who they are.

kilrgt..........just having some fun, alot of what was said is guys having good humor and alittle smack over a weekend. I laughed my ********* off with some of those posts. I for one didn't take it seriously and hold nothing personal as do other owners for the most part.

I think the overall general population of Non Porsche owners thinks of Porsche Owners as being ********* as a generalization. All the Porsche owners that I have met on this site have been very nice and generous and great *********
