It is a nice 20-30 minute drive over to Cambria...I booked 6 of us there, and there seems to be plenty of space at most of the motels along Moonstone Beach...The weekend of the 30th is good for us

Rottweiler is Melissa's favorite breed. She thinks Rotties are so docile they are almost like a big cat, but a lot more trainable. Somehow I fail to see the connection. Just for that, we'd like to have to chance to visit and test her theory.

Thanks again for your generosity.

How about the first weekend that was proposed (I think it was April) instead of the Mothers Day weekend (although I'm single ---- ?? maybe that's why?) but in Santa Ynez instead of Paso Robles. SY has wineries, LOTS of hotel space, good roads, nice hills, Solvang (although that might be a drawback) and lots of good eating establishments. Gets you the right weekend in a place that does NOT have another event.

Because half the group is from the Bay Area, and the Paso Robles/ Arroyo Grande (last years) area is in the middle.

The last list of participants posted by Steve was on last Tuesday, and there were 41 cars, including 66 participants. Steve is that list current?

To date, only 33 people have voted so far for which date to hold the luncheon on. If you haven't voted please do so, if you know someone who's coming please encourage them to vote.

If you use San Francisco as the NorCal starting point and San Diego as the SoCal starting point (not everyone is from LA) then Solvang is within 30 miles driving distance from each starting point (264 from San Diego and 297 from San Francisco). Middle is relative!

I'm for wherever and whenever and thank the organizers.

Just as an FYI, we have had a couple of overnight events with the PCA and have stayed at the La Cuesta Inn in San Luis Obispo. The nice thing is that they have an underground parking structure that they closed off for our use. You can probably squeeze about 25-30 cars in there. They even put out some buckets and rags for us to clean our cars! In the evening, they put out a table and some chairs in the garage and we had a little BYOB/snacks get together before dinner. Lastly, directly across the street is the Apple Farm restaurant that has a separate back room that holds about 50 people, which we reserved for dinner on Saturday night.

Not to stir the pot here, but I got an RGruppe events e-mail tonight and they are having north vs. south events both 4/23 and 4/30.

356 registry, 4/23 in Cambria
RGruppe, 4/30 in Monterey

Could you imagine a Rennlist / RGruppe meet and photo shoot???

I realize Monterey is farther for the southern crowd, but the RGruppe event is legendary and Monterey needs no sell. If we did this right, we might be able to coordinate a short meet and photo opp for both RL and RGruppe groups. The RGruppe crowd has always welcome me and my turbo at there Saturday meets and are an all around great bunch !

The 356 crowd in Cambria might be easier for the south crowd. I just don't know the 356 crowd and how they like the newer cars.

Any thoughts?
