Default Group Buy: Kinesis Super Cups

Kinesis is currently doing a revamp of their Super Cup wheel (changing from the old 17 inch hub to a true 18 inch and getting rid of the drop in the lip). From what I understand they are about 90 days out from having these on the market.

Anyone interested in getting together a group buy on these?

Thanks,

Depending on wide body offsets available, yes, I would be very much interested.

Pic of Kinesis Super Cup Wheel

The hub will be a bit bigger and there will not be a drop/step in the lip.

I'd be interested, obviously dependent upon final appearance, weight and price.

Nice. As Keith stated....depending on the wheel offset for my phatbut(widebody), I in. IMHO, these wheels look so aggressive on 993's. Check out these pics.

Wait, is this a group buy on the newer design 3 months from now? Hmmm I thought group buys were all about immediate gratification.

Those looks like the Speedline Alesio not the Kinesis Supercups. There is a difference in the two and I'm also a huge fan of the Speedlines. They're impossible to find though.

I do know of one set available on ebay...but they're too expensive in my opinion.

Looks like we have enough interest for a group buy. I will ping a couple of my vendors and see who will give us the best price. My understanding is that the new wheels are supposed to be 10-15% more expensive than the original design but hopefully we will be able to get some 'pre-production' pricing.

BTW - All of the wheels are made to order (i.e. you get to pick your offsets, etc.) so there should be no issues with individual specs.

993Guy..Thanks for the link. I do understand the wheels are speedlines, but overall the look is very simliar..at least from a distance. But I will hold off on the Speedlines, since these wheels are made to order....NICE.. Harvey..please let keep us updated..pics would be nice. Ask those guys at Kinesis to start our RL group by wheels first =)

LOL! Yeah right. Look how many pages it took to put 10 guys together for a group buy on an oil cooler.

mac993 - If you decide to go with the Kinesis wheels, keep me in mind if you want to get rid of your '02 - 5 spokes ! I just may be ready by the time this buy works itself out.
