Buying a 993, need advice

Yes, the color, at first did not attract me, but after seeing it twice I got used to it :-)
It's a good match with the body color, the white instruments and as @Tlaloc75 said:
Aluminum package for gauges, parking brake, and shifter. That’s a sweet interior!

I'd be a buyer on this one- that interior looks great and it's a rare combo. Sport seats, full leather package, and aluminum package alone is more than $ 10,000 in upgrades . Sweet car.

Hello,
Some news:
- I found the oil leak... It was coming from the spare wheel, probably a not correctly closed oil bottle...
- For the 250CV "limitation", I had a call to the previous owner, it was "administrative" only and the ECU is the original one.
- I paid an account

All wide-bodied cars are the later Gxx20 gearbox - the longer ratio gears. Being 4WD this one is G6420.
Replacement CPUs are expensive, but you should contact Tore of Bergvill FX https://www.bergvillfx.com/pages/about-us as he knows everything about the 993 electronics.

The car was delivered to Germany originally so I wouldn't worry too much about the gearbox.

In Europe all 993s were 21 gearboxes until a point towards the end of the MY96 build, where Porsche changed to the 20 gearbox. Due to this timing, all of the wide-bodied (non-turbo) cars were 20 gearboxes. Nearly all MY97 and onwards narrow-bodied cars were 20 gearboxes. A few very very early MY97 narrow-bodied did have had a 21 gearbox.

No Mike that's incorrect. As you can see on the sticker, it's a 20

Once the oil drop is outside, with the speed, it "painted" the front bottom with oil.

There should be four (in all) little drain tubes that seal those holes from anything getting in from the outside. The left one looks like the correct size, but the other smaller one looks non-factory from here

Edited to add - Did a previous owner have a big sub or amplifiers or something screwed/fixed in there? It would explain why the left hole looks somewhat 'used' or worn by something metal. Just guesswork from photos. But get them properly 'sealed' whatever they are.

I've owned one for nearly 15 years, and done most of the service and maintenance myself, thanks in no small part to the info on Rennlist and other forums.
I imagine that the spare wheel was taken out and 'something' screwed in there, but I'm guessing from one photo

Hello everyone,
I'm still waiting for my car, there are some problems with the importation (no CEC in 1996) and the technical inspection refused the exhaust (SCART), the seller is busy fitting an original one.
Otherwise I'm looking for a set of 4 used rims to avoid damaging the original ones, I've already looked a bit but without success... Any suggestion is welcome :-)
Thanks and have a nice weekend :-)
