That’s a nice 14k mile C2 (narrow body) at Autokennel that’s priced at $111k. I think their prices tend to be pretty close to market correct. Take some off (15-20%?) for all the panel hits. I’ll defer to others whether the C4 would be worth more or less.

Hi there - new here! looking to get my first p car in the next month or so... hot for a 993... didn't want to start a whole new thread, can I ask for thoughts on pricing here? I've seen a number of cars over the past few weeks but most interestingly, I've found a beautiful 993 C4 local to me with under 15k miles. The interior is immaculate. The paint is also in great shape, however three body panels were replaced 20+ years ago (passenger fender, door, quarter panel). No structural damage from what I can tell, I have also seen the repair receipts which are consistent with surface damage only. The story I was told is that the car was backed into by an SUV while parked. Otherwise, the car is a time capsule - no modifications.
Any opinions of what a fair price range would be? My plan is to keep the car forever (or until I get bored in a few years and want a TT!).
Thanks for your thoughts... looking forward to joining the club...

Assuming fairly standard colors and service history, I believe a C4 with fewer than 15k miles for less than $120k is a steal today. I understand the work on the car and I am not sure that makes a huge difference to the right buyer. Of course most people like clean, no body/paint work cars but it's also a 20-year old incident.

Replacing a front fender or door is one thing, cutting out and welding in a rear quarter on a 993 is something completely different. The devil is in the details. I’d want to see photos of the repair if possible, examine receipts and confirm quality of shop that did the repairs, examine the gaps carefully, and I’d have a paint meter over every mm of that quarter panel to see how much filler is hiding crappy body work. Could be a great opportunity if you intend to keep the car as a driver, but will definitely greatly impact resale (many buyers wouldn’t even consider a car with that much body and paint work).

separately, the guards red car on auto kennel linked above looks like an interesting option… I may give them a buzz. I had an unmodified car in mind, but these changes don’t seem too extreme.

Looks like my memory had served me wrong, I just went through the receipts again. The repairs did not include replacement of the quarter panel. It's as follows:
-repair hood
-repair pas door shell
-refinish pas fender
-blend pas quarter panel
Unfortunately the shop is no longer in business (work was performed in 99), seems to have been around until 2015 with good Yelp reviews. I'll have to just spend a bit of time poring over the paint as you suggest. Will also have a PPI if I intend to move forward. It's a single owner vehicle but the service records are pretty thin, I don't think it was owned by a car nut. I have a few other options, so will just need to figure out if the discount is sufficient against the body work, and compare.

Well … accident repair and thin records would be a “no” in my book unless an amazing deal on price. I mean… 25 year old car means suspension, steering rack could go and does.. the list is endless. 993 parts prices have gone through the roof too.

I come back in here from time to time and am always entertained by the happenings of the aircooled 993 market. Not quite there yet in getting back the 993 itch, but almost. Drove a 20k mile '98 C2S last week as was helping a friend that lives out of state secure the car in my car storage prior to the storm. Glad we did that. the 6 mile drive gave me some good memories but not enough to start looking again. That said, if anyone wants to offer me their wide body 993 privately, I may have a hard time saying no if color combo and condition is proper. Congratulations to all that bought recently, these are amazing cars to own and enjoy. All the best,
JAB
