Everyone knows the C2S in the car you want.

RWD widebody. Its why the GT2 is so desirable…Turbo without AWD. Same as the 997.2 GTS - nobody wants the 4 - you want the RWD widebody.

So you f’ed up, got the wrong car, and now you feel the need to justify it with some data?

Just kidding - I love them both, I even love a 993 cab…but I guarantee some 4S blood is boiling reading this ^

Now that i don't drive it in the winter- i'd buy the best example - either car- I could find and not worry about it. 130 extra pounds- big deal. How many people track their 993's these days? I'm sure there are many- but with values headed north, I suspect more are coming off the track today than going on- so who cares about a little less weight.

So when you find one with the desired extras like LSD, sport seats, aluminum or carbon fiber interior, sport suspension, motor sound mufflers, it’s special and price reflects that. Reminds me of the purpose of the 356 speedster and 964 RS America that are now highly valued as well.

The C4S was created for touring ergo the AWD for safety and solid spoke wheels.

So drive what floats your boat. I have owned both. Despite what others say, they feel very different. Both very good, but different.

And I think we have had this conversation for the past 25 years here.

And of the non-Turbo 993s, we all know which is the best driver: The lowly NB C2! (Better still, with LSD.) I know this should ruffle some feathers.

That’s a shame on the white 12k mile C2S on BAT.

The point of PPF is to protect the paint - not ruin it. Car now needs a lot of paint work to fix the clear that came up and to match the panels.

I’ve taken PPF off many times without issue - are people just trying to pull it off without heat or steam?

Even with the blemishes its already at $200k w. 7 days to go…

What a great spec. The sport seats and aluminum interior bits are really nice.

I know it’s fixable but man that paint bothers me. I’m surprised it’s bid this high this early with the paint flaws.

Agree 100%! $200k right out of the gate! More money than brains out there! Probably didn’t even read the full details of the listing. Only on BAT!

Just my opinion based on working on a few dozen 993s since 2005 - the clearcoat peeling is probably because PPF was installed too soon after the car had some sort of damage. Look at the two pics below. Very obvious tape line on the passenger side cowl seal and paint on the tub floor drains....

Bingo, Andreas.
Some pretty girls are heavily camouflaged by make-up, distracting their true nature.
Anyone want to request an odometer inspection and mileage verification now?

not that i would suggest covering up previous paintwork, but how easy would it have been to pull those drain sleeves before paint and/or simply replace them after the fact. they're like $5/pc.
