finally bit the bullet an ordered one. Can't wait to get it installed! Has anyone added SiriusXM to the radio? Look like you need an additional module. Is that from Porsche or from Sirius? With the nav antenna mounted on the dash, where are you putting the sirius antenna?
FYI - with Sunset's memorial day 20% off sale, the radio is $1k plus shipping. Still a lot but better then retail pricing![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

looks like there is a cable to connect the PCR to the sirius module.

Does this need to be ordered separate or does it come with the radio? Its part number 911-642-313-00

I have had mine since it first was launched in Europe, so about four years now. It fits the dash design of a 993 perfectly, the sound is reasonably good and the hands-free phone is excellent.
My only gripe is the limited size of the screen and that it is often obscured by reflecting light, as it is not skewed towards the driver. Porsche initially installed the GPS antenna under the dashboard cover but had to move it to under the rear window shelf, as reception under the dash was terrible.
All in all, it is a great addition to the car, offering everyday practicality and a look which fits the interior very well.

I recently installed it and it's great!
My only gripe is that when I copy files to the SD I cannot get them to play in correct order. Manual says it will play in directory list order and I have my files prefixed with track number... Anyone get this to work correctly?

Not great. It gets washed out pretty easily with direct sunlight. No worse than some other OEM solutions (my Aston martin’s screen is completely illegible in direct sunlight) and not something that bothers me too much but it is nowhere near as good as some high brightness, matte screens in other modern cars.

Mine should be delivered today! However, after speaking with my Stereo guy, he's telling me that he doesn't think the radio has RCA pre-amp output to connect to an aftermarket amp. Is that the case? Does Porsche offer an adapter for this? Any other thoughts to solve this problem?

care to share how you did it?
If i can't find a good option, i'll be selling mine if anyone's interested. Just looking to get what i paid - $1100 from Sonnen plus shipping. Will throw in the extra cable needed for Sirius ($18).

For me;
- the NAV is too small a screen and too far away from the driver's field of view while driving.
- It would be more attractive if it nixed the NAV and was simply a retro stylized radio and modern media player at 1/4 the price.
- Better yet, how about just a Porsche designed removable face plate swap out for a current aftermarket head unit to match retro 911 styling. Could be a $100 product.

The installer may need an adapter.
