No. Those lights are on all the time.

@jperlinsky how bright is the light bar when it’s on during the daytime? Is it much brighter than at night? I am trying to see if this is a new operating mode or if it’s just the night time mode staying on all the time.

I actually really like the light bar and wouldn’t mind if it were on during the day, provided that it’s sufficiently bright

Coding the rear bar to be always on is well documented... search is your friend.

On .2 is no longer the case. Unfortunately!

@718socal it still doesn’t allow me to send messages. Can you send me a message so I can get in touch with you?

Any other coders for the 992.2 HD Matrix lights? 718socal says he only does 992.1s.

Hopefully this is a reasonable thread to ask this question. I didn't want to start another one, but I suppose I could ...
I'm curious to know if anyone has had their HD matrix light coding undone at a service appt. I haven't seen a post about this so I'm thinking it hasn't happened to anyone here which probably means it's unlikely. I'm guessing that there are various subsystems in the car and if Porsche needs to apply a software fix for something in one subsystem, it probably doesn't affect others.
Note that I'm not asking for anyone's opinion on whether one should avoid enabling these lights because of some risk of the config being overwritten. All I'm asking is if someone knows that it has happened.

As a follow-up to the question above. How does one know if the 'unlock' got wiped out by the dealer after service?
Do you have to drive it at night and observe the light beams or is there an easier way to check?

Thanks

If the control unit for the lights are replaced, then yes coding is reverted back to factory, but that is OK, because you can get one of the coders on RL to re-code for you.

You can tell when you turn on your car in the dark. Look for the startup pattern.
