Confirmed by @mda thanks.
Looking now for the Matrix activation speed from 40mph to lower speed.
awesome, I would love this, would really improve functionality around town. It will be a hysteresis with activation at 60kph and deactivation at some slightly lowers speed, perhaps 55 kph. My jeep activates at 20 mph and deactivates at 15 mph and these are very convenient speeds. It will probably be the same hysteresis limits for auto high beams with both matrix and non matrix lights that are PDLS+
sign me up when you crack this one please

That’s not how mine work. Activation speed is 60kph in my car not 30kph. I wish it was 30kph. What country code did you program your matrix activation to? Perhaps activation speed varies in different countries, I believe mine were coded to Germany? @rnlst_log

@rnlst_log Sent you another message. Trying to figure out if its worth ordering the matrix lights on my upcoming build before the freeze date if you can code them. Thanks

Just do it... given your self-professed FOMO you’ll be kicking yourself if you didn’t, activation or not.

I do have FOMO, but I actually don't mind the appearance of the regular base lights as they are unique in their own way. But if they is some advantage to the matrix lights or if they are or will be codable I'll spend the money for them.

Oncoming and preceded vehicles will be "shaded out" although perhaps not as precisely as is done by the HD LED-matrix headlights. You should also have road sign illumination and glare reduction and increased high beam distance lighting at speeds a bit over 70 mph.

According to the specs on the configuration page, the standard LED-matrix headlights on the 992.2 have additional features that the previous optional LED-matrix headlights didn't have such as dynamic headlight leveling instead of only leveling at startup and "Coming home/leaving home animation". The previous optional LED-matrix headlights also have an "Encounter light" feature that brightens the lane being driven in when encountering vehicles on 2-lane roads. I don't know if the 992.2 standard headlights have that but you might be able to tell by looking at the "Canada only" verbiage in your owners manual.

Bottom line is that it's totally worth it to get the 992.2 standard LED-matrix headlights reprogrammed to be fully functional.
Wow, this sounds terrific and well worth it. Hope f4bones and team figure out how to do this on the standard LED matrix lights.

Seeing both of us are in Cleveland, mind if we share the cost if we need to buy equipment?

What all do you have to get? Do you need a PIWIS tool or can it be done remotely via laptop?

Not at all! I’d love to get together with local pca folks and do it as a group.

Could make it an even bigger meet and have a big meet up somewhere around Columbus. I'm down in Dayton. Granted Columbus is a bit farther for you Cleveland folks.

Would love to meet more forum members. If you guys decide to come to Columbus, I bet @Esoteric_Detail would host. They have a facility in Cleveland now though, also.
