992 Carrera T Club - New & Improved!

They are black plastic. You want to find out how they look painted? I have a brand new set that were damaged in shipping. I threw them on the car real quick for a photo. If someone is good with plastic they may be able to be repaired or painted. I’d probably let the go free if someone wants to pay shipping.

You'll be fine without them. I bought the normal SportDesign side skirts a while back and accidentally ripped these off on one side (not realizing that they just needed to be flipped down) and had no issues with install/fitment/look.

BTW, careful…I mean careful application of heat may remove some of that crease. Body shop may do it…

Congrats! I was initially going to get a new 718 GT4 instead of my T. I admit the NA 4.0 motor sounded gr8 / stock exhaust note more pronounced and I may still get one in the future to experience owning (not just driving) a mid-engine NA Porsche. However, nothing like the 911 sensation of the rear engine pressing down on rear rims for grip when accelerating out of corners. How do u feel about the T sounds? If lacking, lots of aftermarket options. Someone I know got a 718 GT4 and added a str8 pipe non-valved exhaust and told me he likes the sound of my turbocharged exhaust (aftermarket) better including the loud whistles. From inside, I really like how the GT4 sounds more. Curious what u think of stock T sounds….switching from GT4….

Thanks...I just may sell these when the creases get repaired...they are not expensive, so I'll just buy a new set.

My New 992 T
After 6 months of waiting from allocation to delivery, I just took my 992 T home from the dealer this past weekend.
My new 992 Carrera T
It's taken me a couple of days to feel dialed in with the manual transmission (e.g., I wasn't used to having to pull the stick leftward for 1st and 2nd gear), but quickly feeling comfortable. It's been fun navigating through the PCM setup and I think I have everything set now. Any advice on break-in protocol or other tips would be welcomed!

Further muddled by advice from my Porsche dealer to "rip on it after 500 miles". At 650 now and still granny shifting it but a track day is coming in the next 2-3 weeks. I plan to hit 1k miles before then but may have to go full send shortly thereafter lol!

Congrats. I think many T owners also wish they could have a GT4 so it'll be great to get your impressions and thoughts as you get used to it. Car really opens up at higher RPM's so the break-in is a must to get out of the way asap.

Beautiful car. Congrats! If you want some break-in advice, there are two very active debates going on in this forum at the moment... opinions vary wildly as usual with this topic. No one can prove anything and the only even marginal consensus is that following Porsche's recommendation (4k RPM until ~1800 miles) is the safest bet.

Thanks! I plan to keep it below ~4K for the first 500 - 1000 miles at least, then slowing increase the max until I reach at least ~1500 miles or so. Right now I'm trying to decide between PPF and Ceramic while the paint is still perfect. I'm leaning towards PPF on the front end at a minimum.
I personally did "track PACK" PPF which includes the front, the rockers, and the rear arches. I'm having the car ceramic coated on Friday for the sake of ease of washing, etc. This is my first time doing either of those things, so it's a learning experience for me. I think the ppf will really help with my peace of mind (it certainly has already), and I'm hoping the ceramic is worth it!

Yeah, a lot of us don’t come here as often as we used to. Trying to check in more often….and get fellow T-mates to post more pics of their T in the wild. I appreciate good photography…
Life is gr8 especially with a 911😀. Similar to @arrivederci recent post…after a stressful day at work/in life…take my T on some winding roads and I’m all smiles inside. As my car designer family/friends say…cars are essentially just a bunch of nuts and bolts, but what joy they can bring when put together just right. Those that know…know 911 is pure harmonic convergence of gr8 design and engineering. Hope u r enjoying ur T as much as I am…..
