I just got another aston martin vantage carbon edition... sick... But my 911 T should be here soon enough. Going to have to make some roster cuts soon. haha

See, I need to hang around with more people like you guys. My family acts like I have mental illness because i've averaged three new model car purchases per year for ten years running. I knew there were others.

Just joined you all on Thursday, when a shiny Plycar car transporter delivered my new daily driver. I went with a fairly basic build, with options mainly limited to upgraded interior, extended range fuel tank, rear axle steering, LED-matrix lights and Bose stereo. Feeling lucky to have it join the 992 GT3 in my garage. I've only put 20 miles on the Carrera T so far, but a few things stand out already:

• I was expecting the T to be very quiet compared to the GT3, but it's actually pleasantly growly with the sport exhaust active. I'm sure the T's reduction in sound insulation helps bring in engine and exhaust noise. I think it will strike a good balance of sounding sporty without being over the top for daily use.
• The clutch and shifter are fantastic. Maybe not quite the level of perfection of my former 981 GT4, but pretty close. So happy to have a manual Porsche again.
• I chose the standard 4-way sport seats in the T, and they're much better suited for everyday use than the carbon buckets in the GT3. Adjustability is good--they can sit so low that this is the first car I won't use with the seats in the lowest position.
• Visibility out of the car is fantastic, much better than other sports cars on the market, and it's nice to not have a huge wing in the rear-view mirror in a daily driver.
• It feels very agile without being nervous or darty. It's probably a combination of suspension components, alignment and tires that make the T feel so well-suited to road use. Definitely more road friendly than the GT3, which is amazing on track, but can feel a bit darty and edgy on anything other than perfect pavement. It's obviously very early in my time with the car, but it seems Porsche did a great job in tuning the T for spirited road use and everyday livability.
• Some people have complained that the 992 has grown too big, but compared to most other cars on the road, the T still feels very light and relatively small. It feels very maneuverable due to low mass and inertia, and yet it still manages to feel very solid as if the car is made out of a single block of material. Amazing.

Really looking forward to getting to know this car more and more. Next step--looking for a summer wheel/tire setup since I'll put winters on the OEM wheels.

Loving my 911 T, had it now for about 5 months and have done 3,500km. I'm a photographer, so attaching some of my favourite shots.

 

So I've been part of T club just recently... love the car but not as enamored with black.. lizard green stitching kind of cool..
But then I bumped into this .. should be here in a week or 2..
I thought there weren't any NA PTS cars delivered.. only in Europe.

@paradocs98 congrats and welcome to the black T club. Solid choices. My GT3 is the 997.2 variety. Perfect balance.

PTS is definitely rare for a T in NA but there are a handful floating around. If you read this whole thread you will see a few. I know of a lighter green, Oslo blue and a south sea blue. I’m sure there a few more as well.

I have a contact who manufactures wheels for OEMs. He did me a favor and I got to design my own wheel which he manufactured for me. I'm not a designer. I knew what I wanted and worked with his wheel design team to come up with my wheels. These are 1 of 1. I commissioned a set of mag wheels so these will be up for sale soon. @Fishah gets first right of refusal.
