Hey everybody. It's been a while.

I'd been hoping to read this review since the video came out but it was locked for subscribers.
Just found my way to it again and saw it was now unlocked.
Hard not to agree with the findings.

"Simple, straightforward, sublime. A car without pretense, a car without ostentation; a car sufficiently civilized and practical to use for every purpose, but one whose very presence outside your house is enough to bring joy to a Monday morning ahead of the most difficult of working weeks. At least to me, these are the qualities of the truly great 911, and you need neither GTS nor GT3 to find them, for they’re all right there in the T."

I’ve watched the video
.

As this is my 1st 911 that i own (992.1 C2T) i can understand that the factory horsepower is not significant especially in the world of 600plus horsepower super salon (the new M5 even has 700+ hp) but i can relate all the point stated in this review.

For my need the Carrera T is perfect, and ever since 991.2 (3.0L turbo) has dramatically elevated the base Carrera performance. It has all the bits that has been carefully selected.

Different people will always have different need, the S, GTS and even GT3 will suit different owner with different priorities.

Im just glad that Porsche create the T variant. (My next best choice would be manual Carrera S if Porsche never make 992 carrera T.)

And for me the switch to widebody in 992 generation also seal the deal for me for going with 992. (I would bought C4S if i were to go with 991s , since i love the wider hip on the carrera)

In the “money no object” scenario i would gladly spec out guntherwerks 993 as all of their bodyshell are widebody. So sexy..

speaking of sexy, i think 992 shell is sexy

here is my 24 C2T

@J Irwan you chose well for your first 911. I've owned about 14. I currently own three and for a road going car, well... I share the author's conclusions.

I think the squeak that they hear is the plastics for the shoulder harness rubbing on the carbon seats. Those four holes behind your shoulder.

I have found that Invisible Glass works very well.

We have the same specs, except I opted to keep the side decals. You chose well!

I did also notice that you have the gt3 side skirts, I’d be interested in hearing how the installation process went, or if there is a thread with you mentioning it please let me know

The side skirts are simple to replace. I did it without lifting the car and I’m 61 years old. I did the first side and once I figured it out the second side was just 15 minutes tops. I think it’s 3 torx head screws and about 8 plastic screws on each side.

Really easy to install. I did use a lift to make it just a bit easier, but otherwise straight forward. I did watch this videos first so that I didn't miss anything like the three metal clips 😀.

Finally brought my T home this past weekend. I'll post my thoughts tomorrow, but here's a picture for now. Overall, I'm loving it, but can't wait to get past the break-in period!

Finally took the T home yesterday after taking delivery and PPF jail. Love it! It is a dream to drive! I haven't driven manual for 15 years now so I feel like a newbie when I drove the T home.
The only painfully thing for me, clearly a user issue, I can't seem to find the reverse gear, every time i shift to the left and up it seems to go into first gear, the driver's manual doesn't seem to help either! Anyone have any tips on this?
Love the auto blip function and the sound is awesome in the cabin, although haven't tried highway yet as I know some ppl mentioned it could be a pain!
