Not surprising to me. Market going as I anticipated. I think manual 992 Ts are going to be in good demand / priced very well at least until the next manual T is introduced. New buyers in the market are going to have to chase our used Ts if they really want 1 in the meantime. 😆 Lowest priced used 992 T in my market presently is about $140K…my local dealer recently asked me if I wanted to sell mine. 🙉 Should I? But she’s so good! 😀

Hold off a little while longer before you sell that beauty. Even if they do make another manual T It won’t have an analog tach or a turn ignition. Both of which have always been a hallmark of the 911. I for the life of me will never understand why Porsche made the decision to ditch these. Huge unforced error, almost like they don’t want their old customers back.

I’m sure massively cheaper to produce. Everyone is moving to one large screen now. Love the old analog dials. Looking forward to my T arriving.

This months panorama magazine addresses the issue of doing away with the analog tach and turn key.

“One can’t help but recall GM’s ownership of Saab, which famously did away with center console mounted key position as the brand slipped into anonymity; it’s a slippery slope on the road to efficiency, especially when a revered brand’s unique selling propositions are being unceremoniously tossed into the recycling bin.”

Default Cracked windshield finally replaced!!

Good news, I finally got my cracked windshield replaced today at no cost but on the drive home I noticed that it looks like my passenger side wiper was remounted a little farther up than normal. Will some with a 992 take a look and see if your passenger wiper blade is in the same position or lower? Also aren’t there supposed to be caps over the nuts that hold the wiper arms on?

I can’t believe how solid of a magazine panorama is. I was just commenting how it had the best journalist take on the .2 out of every major publication.

Thanks for the pic, it looks like mine is maybe a notch or two higher. Thanks for confirming I’m not crazy. 😁 I also found a parts diagram and see there are supposed to be caps over the nuts as well.

Dunno - looks pretty close to me. Wipers blades typically connect on splined shafts. The angle change from one spline to another is pretty large. Looking at the tip of your wiper blade closest to the cowl, moving it down any further would likely have the blade sitting on the cowl (ie, not on the windshield).

The thing I'd take a closer look at is the lower right corner of the windshield, specifically the cowl to windshield fitment. I zoomed in your pics and something looks off. Some weird line or possibly the lower edge of the windshield isn't covered by the cowl? Might be just a reflection though...

It looks like they accidentally switched the wiper arms. Looks like the driver side arm should be on the passenger side and visa versa.

Here is what mine looks like. I tried to get the same angel and perspective. You're looks very close. Note: I have not had my windshield removed or replaced. It's still from the factory. 2024 911 T.

I think your wipers are fine with the exception of the caps. Similar angle plus some close ups.
