Plus the time to travel to and from the gas station. My 'fill-ups' take 0 minutes and I never need to travel anywhere to do it.
Of course not everyone has 'home charging'. Over 80% of charging currently does take place at home, but it's fair to say that number will likely drop as adoption extends more into apartment owners and lower income groups.
I never drive to a gas station as they are literally every where you go if you haven't noticed. They are always on my way regardless of where I am headed so it takes no time at all.
I refuel approximately once every 3 weeks which takes about 3 minutes, try that with your EV. I can park absolutely anywhere I choose every night with no concerns about plugs, cables, blah, blah, blah.

Just like my EV . Let’s just end this here and agree to disagree.
this is the family car for around town driving. works great, fast as my GTS off the line and I spend so little on “gas” at 10.5 cents and KWh. Comes out to an equivalent of like a $1 something a gallon. Fits all six in the family along with the dog. If I have to take a long road trip and I was to worry I would just rent a car, I get them for $50 a day through work and have racked up thousands of miles on rental cars for very little.
If we were out in CA I would think twice since their electricity is so expensive.

"Just like your EV"? Sorry my friend, you need to find a place to plug in your EV if you are not at home while a gas powered vehicle does NOT. Huuuuuge difference. Sure Man, end it here.

and how would that be an issue to many of the cars and coffee garage queens on here???
heck I drove the gts 650 miles last Sunday and most would question how could you do that with Centerlocks. They are cars and some have a different purpose for different people. For us the EV is great for 99% of the time. 280 miles of range is a long way if you use it from around town!

. There are more Tesla superchargers than gas stations in many parts of the world already and only growning.

Even with the higher cost of electricity in Cali, the R1S is still cheaper to operate than any gas suv that can do 0-60 in 3.0. and the SUVs that can do 0-60 on 3.0, I don't think any are 3-row and certainly can't off-road or rock climb. So you'd need another vehicle for off road and camping activities.
I had a small SUV rental in Paris a couple of months ago - that was crazy difficult to get into public parking spaces!
Fiat 500L in Cinque Terre. Got the very last spot within walking distance of the town we stayed in. Two minutes later and I would've been SOL. I probably would have had to park a few towns away and taken the train in.

I had to really jam him in there. His crate was disassembled and in the back seat and then I put his bed in the front and wrapped everything I could with towels and sweatshirts to keep down the scratches. I think it worked out well. He went 300+ miles and never moved, just stared over at me

Ha ha! That’s what I should have had; this is what they gave me for a 1-day run from Paris to Reims. Taken at the old GP track outside Reims 😊. We were going to catch the train but I left it too late to buy tickets so this was plan B.

he did not complain about the drive
This is great stuff, love dog pics, huge dog fan here. Looks like someone lounging in First Class!
