My sales agent disclosed that my 2024 992 C4S which will go into production March 6, will not have a memory steering wheel due to lack of chips. Does anybody have some added info on this?

The 992 hasn't had memory steering wheel since 2022. I think only the Turbo gets it. my 2024 992 GTS doesn't has it nor did the 2022 GTS had it.
in 2022, they gave us a credit of $500 for not being able to install it.

This isn’t a chip issue at this point, it’s a cost saving maneuver.

What exactly is part of the memory package? There's no steering wheel position. I'm assuming the seats and mirrors. On the option it says "other personalized in-car settings". What does that even entail? I'll be the only driver.

Such a basic thing and you can’t get it on a $160k car.
Meanwhile, my Honda Odyssey has it.

At least you have seat memory - cannot even spec that on a $300K GT3 nor GT3 Touring. Annoying. No power folding mirror nor heated steering wheel either.

I have a 2023 so I knew I would not be getting the electrical adjusted steering wheel. I was ok with that. I’ve only had one other vehicle with an electrical adjusted wheel and it seemed like such a waste. I adjusted it one time and never touched it again. I do the same thing in all my cars with manual adjustment.

While I don't really miss the electrical adjustable steering wheel part of this, I think not having the electrical wheel also eliminated the ability of the steering wheel and seats to automatically retract when powering off? This part of it might be useful for getting in and out of the car.
