Hi there.
Is there an easy way to find out when your Porsche was locked /unlocked without using an app or can the dealer tell you on a log list?
I've of way of knowing other than the fuel data on the screen ( Panamera 2018)?
thanks!

Reason: typo
Us 992.1 guys are going to be thankful that we have the last of the non hybrid and an analog tach.
You think we have problems with engine mount and rattle issues, just think that when it comes to switching out the hybrid battery how much that will cost and the amount of initial issues that will come with the first year of introducing the hybrid
The 992.1 is the perfect blend of modern tech with staying true to the analog roots of the car. Any of the Taycan elements just give it an appliance feel to the car. Also when you take a look at the dials that are all digital on the 992.2 and then see the tactile buttons in the center, it feels inconsistent. You almost need the analog rpm look to complement the center tactile buttons. The update looks like an afterthought.
I think our cars are going to go up in value as a result. I say order your cars now before the 992.2 comes out!
Does anyone know if Porsche can tell you exactly when your car ( Panamera) was locked and unlocked?
is this something that can be found when the car is on a ramp at the dealer?

Ps. I really hope they don't ultimately go with the vertical vents. Once I see it, I can't unsee it............this looks like little kids waiting in line to get their braces on their teeth:
Porsche has been using mild hybrid tech for years now, this is not a 'new generation technology'. This has been present in 918 spyder introduced 14 years ago, in previous gen panameras, caymans and now new ones as well. Not to mention audis, since its part of VW group.
Every single supercar on the market is hybrid right now, all ferraris (296 gtb, sf90), news mclaren(artura, 750s), all new lambos that are coming out (revo and new huracan). Calling this new technology is well.
as for price - not a single mass produced model in history went up in price when new version was introduced. Not talking about limited stuff like dakars or 30 year old cars in pristine condition.
On contrary - if the rumours about bigger 3.6l, naturally aspirated, engines are true, then 992.1 prices will plumet into abyss.

You are posting this in the wrong sub-forum entirely my guy.
I really don't understand what the 48V "integrated starter-generator" is going to do in the base trims - most people disable auto start/stop as soon as they get into the car, so what does that system add to the base trims? The GTS is likely going to go significantly up in price based on what I read here. At least I understand what the THEV is going to be (as its own trim level), but I don't see how the 48V enhances the lower trims. Are they going to disable the ability to turn auto start/stop off now? That's what BMW does - no override. You don't like ***, you must turn the vehicle into sport mode to disable it. So again I ask, what is this 48V mild hybrid going to add?

They only car how the car tests, not the actual fuel economy and emissions in real world use. As long as the auto start/stop defaults to on whenever the car is started they get to use that mode for testing purposes. The 992 already defaults to Auto Start Stop on, and you have to put it in sport mode to turn to off....just like the BMW.
In a hybrid system, at least on most vehicles I have driven, auto start stop is almost mandatory. This is because when it is utilizing electric only it will be on but not running the ICE engine. So when you are running with the ICE engine and slow to a stop, the car shuts off the ICE engine and goes electric only to start moving in electric mode and then eventually switches on the engine when more demand is needed. It is all pretty seamless and controlled by computer. I'm not sure you could switch off Auto start-stop unless you were running in ICE engine only mode.
That's right, start/stop is going to be mandatory now in "normal" mode, you can see it coming. How many 911 owners want that? How's that going to be pitched as a 992.2 "improvement" on the lower trim levels? Forget that, if that's the "improvement" - just give me the real hybrid. I am sensing this 992.2 48V setup is going to be a one-off gimmick, a "feature" no one wants/needs. It will all be cleaned up when the THEV morphs into the 994 across all the trim levels, a few years from now.

Auto start stop is on in "normal" mode on the 992.1 as well. You have to put the car in sport mode or turn it off each time you restart the car if you don't want it on.

He means it CANT be turned off ever in normal mode.
But you can turn it off in Normal mode - if they follow the BMW model, that will be eliminated now. A minor point, but still indicative of a 992.2 change.

Not it you have a 2024 model. At least most of the 2024 US spec models are missing auto start/stop all together…..
