Default Leather interior?

Finishing up my 911T build and wondering if the $4530 for the Leather Interior is worth it? Was going to go with the Standard Interior but don't want to cheap out at this point. Is leather a must?
thanks,

On the surface it seem to be a lot for just some more leather. But it's more than the sum of its parts. I like to think of it this way: for just 2-4% extra to the final cost, you get a better appointed interior that is more aligned to the $120k, $150k, $180k+ asking price. They really should make this standard.

No. End of thread.

Well, to be fair there are different views on this but most people spend the money because, well, they want to. No other reason. So do you want to? Ignore the rest, and that really is the end of the thread.

Yes, it's definitely "worth" the price (although agree it probably should be standard in this category of car) and a must option IMO.

In fact, it's really easy to continuously add further leather/race-tex/CF/etc items...lol

One question is if this was a car you’re keeping forever, what would the materials look like after 10, 20 or even 40 years in areas that get repeated use or direct exposure to sunlight?

It's definitely needed to make the car feel like a six-figure car, mainly because you'll be looking at the dash almost every time you're behind the wheel. It's kind of offensive that this is even an option and not standard.

I think it all depends on usage patterns, amount of environmental exposure, cab vs coupe, etc. I think leather is more likely to look better than race-tex. I'm also pretty sure plastic would look a bit tired after 10-20 years. Certainly after 40!

Then again I have car ADD and won't likely be alive in 40 years...

If I were shopping for a new 992 I would pass on any of them that didn’t have a leather dash. The standard dash just doesn’t look like the dash of a 6 figure car.

I wouldn’t own any P car without full leather.

Leather, Sport Chrono, and Premium are musts in my book for your first $15k in options. These should all be standard.

As someone that went with standard, I would say yes, the $4,530 is worth it. Probably my only regret.

Thanks, wish it was standard too but guess I'll be adding another $4350 to the build
