I personally would go full leather... after having it in one car I cannot go back and see the same type of dashes in all other production cars in my 911 that is "supposed" to be more special.

At the end of the day do what pleases you but I think you will regret not checking that box.

If I have the chance to order the car, the full leather interior is a must.

If the car doe not have the full leather interior, I would hesitate on purchasing and most likely walk away.

Bottomline is, without full leather the interior looks cheap. When factoring how much the car is, that's even worse.

Exactly. You pay a premium for a 911 because of how it drives, not because of how it looks. And it drives wonderfully.

While I get that some people like to see where they've spent their money as I've said many times you can't drive a dashboard, if you spend your 911 driving time looking at the interior in my mind you've bought the wrong car. The other thing I'd mention is that the so-called 'full leather' still leaves you with some sections in the standard finish. To fix that you need to delve into other options like "Extended Dashboard and Door Panel Package in Leather", it starts to add up.

But as I said above, each to their own and if it makes you feel better about the purchase then go for it.

I have the base interior as I bought a preconfigured car. Coming from a previous BMW that had full leather, the interior on the base 992 isn't befitting of a $100k+ car. On a customer order, I would definitely add leather.

That may be what you paid the premium for. Both were important to me. In my opinion, it is a relatively small increase in that premium for a materially improvement in the interior and overall "experience".

To put it differently, the leather interior isn't a must so much as the standard interior is a don't / dealbreaker.

I wouldn't get the standard interior. What are your other options. Leather or Sport-Tex unless you are getting a GTS.

I wrestled with this for months. ended up going up with standard leather on a 992S. interior is still awesome. I plan on keeping forever, and theoretically should be easier to maintain the vinyl.

also figured if I ever wanted to splurge I could get some copart'd leather door cards /dash off eBay

The old discussion that has not real answer. I bought a used one that did not come with leather. Would have been nice but it absolutely does not affect my joy driving it. I thought it might but i don’t even think about it anymore. Only threads like this remind me that, oh yeah, mine does not have that.

wasn't the original T the entry level (least expensive) 911? now it's $10k+ more than the base car and is marketed as driver focused. it's all marketing.

Easy. Save your money, get the standard interior, and then splurge on this:

But seriously. The added leather (dash, etc.) has never done anything for me. I'm not buying a waiting room, or a piece of living room furniture. I'm buying a car that is fun to drive. Leather on the important contact surfaces is plenty for me. The good news is that there is no wrong choice.

Threading the needle .... I tried to go middle ground on my C2GTS

I chose the leather seats which also includes front seat ventilation for only 840.00 additional over the RaceTex ... and it has ventilated seats which I hear are great....

No leather dash, steering column etc seems overkill and totally can live without.

Hopeful it was a good choice

John

you’ll like the vented seats, they’re excellent.
