Thanks. Makes sense 👍🏼

I have no other use for the O rings so why not use them as Porsche intended.

Hopefully it’s ok to post this given the group buy has ended.

Here are the options for the OEM Weissach paddles ($1200-$1300):

https://www.ebay.com/itm/225551396723
https://www.ebay.com/itm/225581007621

…lastly, this requires you to buy the whole steering wheel, and add the Weissach paddles for $1500 (total price $5295):

https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...t3rsalcsw.html

An alternative to JQ Werks, likely the same supplier, but with further adjustability (it appears) from Autotecknic ($495 + 10% discount offered):

https://autotecknic.com/products/aut...AaAgzWEALw_wcB

All in all, the JQ Werks are a steal at full price, so if you’re after the added engagement and F1 style experience of magnetic shifters, they make a great product at a fraction of the OE price.

I'm 99% sure you dont need a different steering wheel; the GTRS paddle mechanism will fit the standard 992 wheel.

I don't believe they are intended to be used with the new paddles. I measured all the dimensions with calipers and it appears the locating nubbin on the new paddles is intended to be the size of the old locator nubbin + orings.

You’re correct. Perhaps I stated it in a confusing way; what I meant is that you can’t purchase just the paddles by themselves, you’re forced to select the wheel and then add Weissach as an additional option.

I dont know the name for the part, but the 'arm' that the paddle connects to is hinged and (I assume) adjustable. This is a solid (non-hinged) 'arm' on the JQ Werks

I am about to install these. Hope it looks good with my yellow center tach.

One question - anybody happen to have a photo how the steering wheel looks with that yellow/green connector detached. I am reading if I dont do that right I may break the coil spring but have no visual how that looks with connector properly removed?

how did you get that top yellow connector off? I removed the green clip and tried to pull it off but want budge. Tried to put a needle/flat had underneath, pulled with a plyer on the area where the green clip was...all to no avail. Worry I brake something...any ideas?

PS: Found this video. Looks keeping the green clip and pushing the yellow down unclips the yellow plug @ 4:25min ...is that how you all did it?

you just need to use two fingers and try to squeeze them in there to pry and pull off the yellow connector (push the top part of the yellow connector down while you’re pulling it off) completely from its pins .. patience will do it

I unlocked the green pin, texted my frustration to @22992 several times, took his advice, and put electrical tape around the teeth of a pair of channel locks, and used them to pull the green tab straight out. When I did this, the yellow connector unhooked from the black connector, and no one died.

Yes, I might have damaged the green clip a little when things got violent.
