Porsche finance & lease rates 2023

@Vernin Do you want a medal for paying MSRP for your Carrera T? I totally don't get your braggadocio here. It wasn't much of a feat in 2023.
Personally, I paid below MSRP for a new Porsche build in early 2022, but I didn't go boasting on forums about it.

My personal and others experience differed from you.
My intention wasn't to boast but rather to share my experience in navigating the market dynamics at the time.
I think it’s great to hear that you secured a new Porsche below MSRP in 2022; that's a fantastic accomplishment.

Thx, unfortunately this is my second go at my first 911. My first I picked up in April 2023 and it was declared a lemon through a buyback in Nov 23. Payed cash. After going through that process, learned that paying cash affords you less protection. Had I financed I would have not lost a penny which is why I'll finance the car the for the first year to see how it goes and the just pay it off.

Unfortunately, I know all too well how bad having a Lemon 911 can be.
Mine albeit not as bad, has a dark spot in the base coat of my RubyStar Neo Paint, about half the diameter of a #2 pencil eraser, and I have a malformed interior piece as well that still needs addressing.
I am unable to realistically do anything about the paint, the interior piece has been "on order" for 6 moths despite my numerous follow-ups nothing so far has been done to rectify the issue hahahaa

McNamara -> That's funny. I didn't want a 911 in the last three years until November of 2023, and I got my allocation at MSRP within two weeks.
As for your rather silly rants, I have talked a lot more about 911s than MSRPs and prices (e.g. 911 T vs. C2S for ordering, FAL, color choices, interior inlay choices, manual transmissions in 992.2, etc.) but I do not need to get into an argument with a man-child, who, unlike Elon Musk, is a lot poorer than I am anyway. LOL.

Enjoy your Porsche Design watch buddy.

I know I was super, super lucky as I have my 22 Ram Truck at 1.9% for 84 Months ( local C/U ) and my Cayman done this August was 4.49 for 84 months at the same place. Both were promos and rates have definitely gone up even there over the past 4+ months.
I remember selling cars at 18% for new and 21% for used in the early 80s, so I happen to view the rates today in the same way a couple other old farts have noted ---- we are in the typically normal rate structure right now.

McNamara -> What are you smoking? LOL. The Sac dealer is still stuck with 2 911's. Not exactly great demand, after 2 months of trying to get rid of all 10.
That Porsche Rocklin dealer called me 7 times to turn me into a sucker buying one of those 10 911's in their lots. I had to talk to their manager to remove my number from their SPAM calls.
As for watches, nope, I don't buy Tags or PD, but I think you will fit right in with your loans, debts, and low NAV, if you get a Tag or PD. I enjoy my Rolexes on watch winders.

Rates generally are going to fall in 2024 as Powell reflates the credit bubble. So whatever loan you take now, make sure you have a pathway to refi it in 2025+. Some lenders will not refi their own auto loans (like my credit union for example), so you have to be prepared to have a second lender lined up for the inevitable refi.

Admittedly, when I see 84 month terms, I do shudder a bit. I know that they're a lot more common now, but it does skew what you're paying in interest substantially compared to a 48mo or 60mo term.
