I was wrong and had been misled. Thanks to the two posters that replied - my bad - thus far the only thing I had read was that it was just to the fuse box. Thanks much for correcting this.

This is why the dealer installation cost as much because they need to run the cables to the front or front/back. So this means removing all the panels - passing the wires to front or front/back and install the cameras... 2-3 hours at 300$ - $350 / hour + the cost of the camera and this is why the overall cost + hardware is ~$1600-$2000
negative boss. Previous posts have documented a Porsche install guide at 3 hours max. Everyone knows the only harness is for power at the mirror.

This is incorrect / misinformation. Please don't mislead people. The prewire includes harnesses to the mirror area in front, and through the C pillar, aft. Documented in various threads, including but not limited to the following:

Pinout diagrams and additional info have also been shared.

Default Pre-wiring with BlackVue?

Can the Porsche pre-wiring be used to install a 3rd party BlackVue 4K dash cam?

Yes, very easily for a front camera. The Porsche prewiring basically provides switched, constant 12v and ground in one harness. The pinouts for the Porsche harness, and where to buy the connector with wires to hook up to your dashcam is on another thread on here if you search. You would probably have to run your own wiring for a rear dashcam if you want one...I doubt you would be able to get the Porsche wiring to work for connecting a front and rear dashcam.
