Does this sound right to anyone? Also, has anyone purchased and/or seen any reviews yet? I haven't found any on Youtube...just generic 60 second videos from Dealerships saying they now have it.
I was quoted a similar price, $2200 for my 2022 992 GTS without prewire option.

As i mentioned in a previous post, I was quoted $2200 for parts and labor for my 2022 without the prewire option. What I didn't mention previously is that I was told by the dealer that the installation for a car with factory pre-wire is not much less than the cost for a car with prewire. Not sure how much less, but I would be curious to know if anyone has gotten a quote for a pre wired 992

What is fair labor install cost if you do have pre-wire and already bought the two dash cams from suncoast?

This reply shows and has links to the minor differences between the Porsche camera system and the Fitcamx system. For interested parties there is a huge cost difference, plus dealership versus DIY installation.

This reply shows the Fitcamx installation in my Macan.

I believe so - I have a prewired cabriolet and it took me less than 2 hours to install the OEM camera

My dealer charged me $910 for the cameras (front and rear) and install on a pre-wired car. That's in Canada where the equipment is more expensive also. Any dealer charging $2,200 is ripping you off.

I paid $335 including shipping for the front camera.
The harness and dock which connect the camera and the Prewire were about another $35

The equipment in Canada is more than that at MSRP (exchange rates and all that stuff) and I also had the rear camera included. The dealer charged, I believe, 1.5 hours of time and the balance was the actual cost of the camera.

I would but it was built into the purchase price of the car when I took delivery. Likely not helpful and it's buried in with a number of other things.

Show your dealer the official TU in the document i posted above and see what they say.

They are probably quoting u MSRP for parts - several dealers are discounting camera and harness plus the price came down significantly a couple of months ago.

I bought mine online from a dealer in Delaware

I got the prewire on my C2S, and bought the front and back cameras from Suncoast. Local dealer installed the cameras for $1500. All-in, I’m probably at $2k.

My review? Not that impressed.

Getting the app to work with the camera has been impossible, and I’m waiting on the dealer to make time for a tech to go over it with me. The main issue is that the Wi-Fi won’t connect to my phone, and gets stuck in an endless loop of trying to make that connection. It’s unusable.

While I can’t control it, or make changes, I assume that the camera is at least recording because a nice British lady tells me so every time I start and stop my car. One of my peeves though is that the recording of her prompting that audio is being recorded sounds like she’s in a bathroom and wasn’t record with the same quality as the rest of the verbal prompts. Super weird to hear, and really makes the camera feel cheap.

I guess I could pull the SD card and see what the recordings look like on my computer, but that’s more 20th century than my expectations for a $2000 system.

If I could go back in time, I probably wouldn’t have bothered with this waste of money. I love my Porsche, but IT is not the company’s strong suit and it consistently shows.
