I did not like paying over original MSRP on the car, but I got a little over Original MSRP on the trade. The car I got is CPOed until 2028, so this is nice. The bottom line is I wanted the C2 now, not in two years which is what I was looking at if I ordered what I wanted from the dealer. it only cost me $10K out of pocket, I saved a lot on the car tax, so I did it and I have no regrets.
I guess either suck it up and buy what you want now or find a better deal.
As far as what could be worse, from what Ive gathered, some people may not like the hybrid, they might mess with the exhaust tips (might look weird) and maybe some other cosmetic things that are highly subjective, and they might make the instrument cluster fully digital which some people also dont like. Im not sure how else it could be worse. On the flip side, mild hybrid could mean more power/torque (although I imagine this will be an option on higher trims) and the cosmetic changes could be subjectively welcomed. I dont think other than mild hybrid on some higher trims, well see anything earth shattering but who knows.
I read something else here in Rennlist some time ago. I think it was something related to the exhaust due to new regulations that would make the engine more sluggish. I just cant remember the term that was used.

GPF.
Wont make the car more sluggish, simply muffled the exhaust sound.

Gas particulate filters. They are present in European cars if I understand correctly and are anticipated to eventually appear on North American models.

Thanks again @SS22, very helpful advice. Honestly, the impending release of the 992.2 also worries me. What if its better? But what if its worse? Heavier hybrid, or the other thing mentioned in this forum (which I honestly cant remember). Im sure whatever facelift they do will be awesome though.
The 992.2 may well be a MY25 car, there are so many special edition models that have to be cranked out on the 992.1 model, as well as the massive order backlog, that a transition to the 992.2 might not be practical for MY24. We shall see.

Which other edition are we waiting on?
But I generally agree with you. The only weird thing is that two dealers have told me they expect 992.2 for MY2024 even if it may not come until the very end of this year and itll first come with base/S. But it doesnt fully make sense to me because of what you said and also that after the factory closes for the summer holiday, when factory opens back up, they start producing the new model year. Why would they do 992.1 for the first couple months of production and then switch to 992.2. It just really beats me. On top of that we had 5 MYs of 991.1 so it would be a shift now to only do 4 MYs of 992.1 (although Porsche has been doing 4/3 MY lifecycles for the other models so maybe).

I feel for you man. Really hard place to be in. First world problems and all that but it's a tough choice. I probably missed it, but why are you looking to upgrade anyway?

I didnt build this car. It was at port when I passed by the dealership March of last year. They said get this while you wait for your allocation. You wont lose much in your trade 😥
I just asked this is another thread before finding this one but am I crazy for considering going over MSRP on a used 22 Certified GTS? Dealers are asking 15-20k over sticker across the board.
