ADMs dropping

The economy is only getting worse from here - commercial real estate especially is tanking (see the PIMCO RE default story in the financial news from last week), remote work is real and space leases on offices, both urban and suburban, are being flushed out as the leases expire. My office complex in suburban NJ - 80% of it is being vacated. In the cities, the office towers are half empty. None of this has moved through the system yet.

It's funny that you guys are going through this math, because I did this mental exercise yesterday. I concluded the price increase and the interest earn were close enough of a wash to not make this a factor.
At which point, I decided to "pay ADM" in sense for a CPO car. I paid $800 over the original MSRP for a 2022 with about 6K miles.
Allocation was bleak after 14 months of waiting, and as someone said here, I can make more money but I can't make more time.
F*ck it! Time to enjoy life.

haha if I really wanted it at sticker I could, but I’ve bought a few cars. I’m waiting for other stuff, so don’t really need this one…but a new, manual C4S that’s landed and available at $5k over seems like a good deal. I’d rather it go to an enthusiast on here!

My local dealer is offering a C4S at 15K ADM. I politely passed. Still in line for a C2S, why am I going to pay an additional $7k for an extra 200 lbs. At this point if I don’t get the car I want will just get my deposit back.

To put this into perspective, top toyota dealers are getting six siennas a year with lists 20 deep. They are going for $5k ADM. 10% of MSRP! You guys are dreaming if the ADM game is going away any time soon. You guys either are, or at least posing as the upper crust. If regular people are paying 10% ADM, you guys can afford to pay a measly 2-5%. So enough of this nonsense thread. Put up or.... Seriously. It's getting tiresome. How do I block a thread?

Sienna is highly supply constrained and there are few minivans even produced anymore (from any manufacturers). They are making more 911s a year than ever. Totally different market. The 911 is a "hot money" buy, a van is not. Take the crypto market down another leg, and demand for 911s will decrease (just as an example).

I was looking for a Targa GTS manual and happened to find one close to what I would have custom built on a boat arriving soon… I put down a deposit. They were asking for a larger ADM and I got them to drop it to $10k. I’ll be picking it up in a couple weeks.
