Sounds like Porsche way works, keep inventory low and prices high.

Looks like S models on BAT are fairing quite poorly, going unsold with high bids 10-20k below msrp. I will note that a lot of the S’s on there are high spec and have an msrp higher than some of the GTS models.

ADM ‘s are not dropping a dealer in Illinois,PORSCHE BARRINGTON just Quoted me a 20k ADM for a 992 ……. I hope no one takes it, these people are just used car dealers now with a fancy building. If we stop letting them treat us like we’re stupid they will go back to being real dealers and not thieves.

$20,000 over sticker they can suck on their 911s. I can live without a 911, they however live and die by the sale. Big difference.
These grease ***** have had it their way for a while now but this unique market will NOT last forever. Can't wait to see the knee pads come out of the desk drawers.

I don’t like adm’s and wouldn’t pay one for a 911 of any trim. But, it does work both ways. When ADM’s evaporate and discounts return, that will also mean you take a bath on your current ride. It’s not exactly a celebratory occasion. I bought some cars over the past 1.5 years at MSRP and hated it, but also made money on a truck I bought and lost $0 on my wife’s trade she drove around for 2 yrs. In the end, the market is the market and if you are buying low, you are also selling low.(unless you are one of the few that got a gt3 at msrp and flipped it for 100k profit)

Try the other dealers. I'm in IL as well. Motorwerks said the same thing to me. I've owned about 20 cars over the last 20 years and I haven't bought a single one from them including two porsches. I'm on the list at MSRP at several dealers with no prior experience.

We are Ok with buying BELOW MSRP, but it’s WRONG to sell ABOVE MSRP … and with that dealers are “stealer”?
Help me, if we are adamant that “stealers” should never charge ADM and never sell above MSRP and it’s wrong… then wouldn’t that also hold true about them never selling to you below MSRP? And why can we turn around and sell for above MSRP?
Isn’t this all just reflections of true current market pricing? And that’s business and isn’t that how most of us got to be buying these cars - in business delivering value at market prices.
And as far as porsche truly caring and cutting off dealers… it’s not happening… these same dealers are vital distributors of inventory in good and bad times.
And if porsche opens up “owned” dealers (they won’t) they’d sell cars at market price … whether thru price increases or other means.
It is OK to desire MSRP, or best pricing or a deal or not buy unless it’s value pricing… but I’m hard pressed to say it’s evil and wrong for anyone to sell at market prices.

I don’t think there is right or wrong answer. I recall even Mini Cooper was selling at ADM when it was launched in US.
In the UK, we queue for our cars at MSRP, but some OPCs sell at ADM following a secret handshake, say no more.
I personally think that there is place for both models, the problem is that if one does it other follow. And the current geo-political situation it will not be in our favour.
