Other parts of the auto industry may well be "cracking", but not Porsche. I still say that this banking crisis and specifically the loss of capital now for tech companies, the layoffs there, if we are going to see any softening in the Porsche market - watch for it to come in California first.

There will be potential new Porsche buyers who will decide against or be no longer able to fit a six figure plus toy in their financial picture due to the pain of a layoff, dramatic increase in variable rate loan payments, rolling credit card debt service, lifestyle degrading inflation, etc. All the wonderfull instruments that the credit industry has designed to financially own those addicted to their poisin are slamming the door on some of this big ticket stuff now and will for a considerable period of time. Very, very few Americans have incomes that are keeping pace with the current inflation rate.

I seem to have been waiting on this cataclysmic event for over a year now. And Porsche seems to always know how to stay one unit below demand. They have full market visibility (waitlists); we only have these Rennlist forum threads.

Be patient, Credit Suisse is going down just this morning. This is just starting, not ending.

…and, won’t my trade-in value go down in tandem? Is the difference going to change in my favor? Crystal ball questions…

Has anyone done or seen any analysis on whether the difference between new car price (including ADMs) and trade-in value is lower, higher or the same now vs. when new cars were being discounted off MSRP?

As stated above, the bank collapse domino effect is just beginning and will likely reset much of the froth that currently exists in the housing and new car markets to name a few.

A GT4RS that a dealer bought spec'd like the Press Car with an MSRP of $201,000 was on my dealer's showroom floor for a full month.
It's just sold for $281,000 last week.

Just got call from California dealer that had told me in February they weren't selling out of state. Earlier today I got an email from an East coast dealer that a month ago said it wouldn't budge on $15k ADM. Something's up.

If I had $1 for every post here predicting impending economic calamity wiping out demand for Porsches, I could order another one LOL. Reality is the average Porsche buyer is comparatively immune to economic ups and downs as far as impacting consumption.

Yup, the typical post here (especially in the ADM Thread in the GT3 Forum) is about someone yapping about crypto bros losing all of their money and this is gonna slash ADM's back to MSRP.

You'd kind of hope that's true but history tells us different. Porsche sales are effected by economic downturns just as much, if not more than the overall market. As you'd expect, discretionary spending and all that.

Demand for Porsches is so good, they mentioned significantly increasing (to the tune of 20%) their prices. No other business seems to get away with that.
