Wait lists anywhere from 1-3 years depending on model. Allocations going to locals only, two mentioned lots of interest from California especially to see if they can get on a Florida wait list.

Lord knows why anyone from California would try Florida market given demand dynamics are pretty similar in both places.
They're not though...most of the dealers in California are still demanding ADM for the cars. People in southern California can order from any dealer in the country and pick up the car at PEC LA, so they are much more inclined to call dealers all over the place looking for an allocation.

Getting a discount off sticker is a big stretch from ADMs going to zero. As long as this car is essentially build to order for any available allocation, I can't see any discounts off MSRP barring some big economic shock sometime this year. Hyundais are still selling for sticker.

Not sure why people use Hyundai as the punching bag for when ADMs will reach parity with MSRP.

Hyundai's make some of the best cars out there (along with their sister company, Kia).

I'm guessing a Sante Fe and/or Palisade will not reach price parity between ADM and MSRP before a Macan or Cayenne do (assuming those cars are still commanding a premium).

No one likes ADM, but I think this may last longer than we all think. 992.2 will spur demand even more, and the cycle of unobtanium will continue. also, manheim prices spiked in january...it was a huge MoM % increase compared to what we've seen throughout all the madness.

$7.5k for a C4S (which is a relatively low-volume trim) and a 7MT (even harder to find) that's available now doesn't seem like the worst thing in the world? though i understand how you feel...i got 8% off my cayenne back in early 2021.

Anyone got an SA with a lead on a base Carrera? I have tried a bunch of CA dealers, most won't sell out of State. I haven't tried east coast dealers for shipping reasons but would entertain it if an allocation is available and they are willing to sell out of State. Not a tire kicker, won't waste your SA's time.

Seems C2 base allocations (actual allocations, not demand or wait lists) are very very sparse anywhere in the US at the moment. Not talking about MSRP vs. ADM or any of that stuff either. As someone that has C2 about to enter production (supposed to start build on Feb 22), cannot say I have seen really anyone here lately discussing their C2 allocations / incoming cars (mostly GTS and T etc.). Maybe now that we are in 2023 the C2 allocations will start flowing more to dealers, or perhaps Porsche AG will continue to prioritize higher trims. Hard to say.

Auction prices are not sinking. 1st 15 days of Feb. Up 4.1% vs January and down 7.3% vs Feb 22'. This is Manheim composite across all price tiers from 3K beaters to six figure vehicles. Available to anyone with a Google search. First hand knowledge, high end luxury, up more than 4.1%.

The same people who tend to wait for ADMs to drop will often be the same people who will continue waiting when prices do drop.

Waiting with bated breath for the next price drop. And then the next one. And so on and on.

When will the price ever be “right”?

Its a weird combo of YOLO and FOMO which often ends up making a person utter FML.

You are right..Macans and Cayennes are available at MSRP, also discounts are available on base models. Palisades are selling at MSRP for the lower trims and limited/calligraphy models have a small ADM, Kia Telluride is still subject to a significant ADM. Hyundai and Kia make some very good products when compared to what else is available at the same prices

Wife has a new Kia Sorrento. We both love it. I’ve had many cars. luxury, mainstream etc. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever buy another brand for day to day use. It’s been phenomenal in quality, looks great has a ton of utility. It was also cheap, has a good interior for the class and has a 10 yr warranty. What more can you ask for? Tellurides have been selling at MSRP or maybe $500 off since they launched. Great cars.

Curious if anyone was able to secure a PTS slot for their 911 T?
I was told there were no slots available until the 2024 allocations by my dealer/SA.

unfortunate but content to have an allocation at MSRP which seems to be quite rare based on feedback in this forum.
