depends on the dealership. Miami is crazy. Even worse for selling slightly used 911’s for $40-50k above original MSRP. But you pay for instant gratification.

We are car guys here who know many other automotive enthusiasts. How many of us know sig. numbers of guys chomping at the bit for an EV Sports Car. I know none.
Why didn't they do a non plug in hybrid 718 like GM has done with the E-Ray. That model is a strong performer and selling extremely well.
That's called the 992.2 GTS.

Florida is always going to be worse because money is pouring in there as people, notably in the financial services industry, vacate states in the Northeast. A friend of mine just left Boston for Miami. The parts of the country losing wages and salary have too many Porsche dealers, the parts of the country gaining people with high salaries don't have enough Porsche dealers (or allocations). I got an S for MSRP in NJ without too much haggle.

Pretty sure we are all aware of that.
Does the fact that the 992.2 being mild hybrid preclude the 718 from benefiting from the same configuration.
The 4.0L N/A engine along with hydrid assist would be a knock out 718 and a great performer. Absolutely no reason why the 911 and 718 cannot both be configured this way.

In other words the execs are doing their job well as stewards of a luxury brand, the pinnacle product (911) sets the brand tone (demand, desire, quality) to drive outsized growth to the attainable products.

For what it's worth, it was from Champion. West Broward wouldn't even take a deposit or put my name on a list (after a Taycan Sport Turismo deal fell through [thank god]), and The Collection never came through. A 2.5 year wait for exactly what I wanted really isn't a big deal, though.

Come on man. You can do better. Read!
You are over 3 years behind with that chart.

"The Porsche 911 recorded the largest increase of all model lines in 2023, with an increase of 24 per cent. The 911 was delivered to 50,146 customers worldwide."

https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2024...rs%20worldwide.

And, I have no idea what that chart you posted is really showing. Deleted it out of my quote because it's either irrelevant or well....irrelevant.

This is it in a nutshell. Florida is experiencing an explosion of development and investment. The wealth and disposable income especially in here in South Florida is mind bending.
There are some areas of the US where a Rolls Royce would never be seen. It is not unusual to here to see 2 or 3 of them in a Publix Supermarket parking lot at one time.
There is no where near enough Porsche sports car model inventory for the level of wealth that exists here. Taycans are a totally different story, plenty of them instock and looking for a home.

My dealer is a MSRP only dealer in Florida and that's what I paid for my 2023 GTS from them. Just be prepared to wait.

There is also a different culture in Florida, especially in Miami. It’s more ostentatious- so even if you look at dealers’ inventory or the garages, you’ll see more extreme colors and styles of Porsches than in the northeast. Not making a judgment - Florida is more fun, more out there. But I wouldn’t drive an orange GTS with the super extended spoilers in Boston, and no one would even notice in Miami.

An average year round high temperature of 76 degrees coupled with an abundance of sunshine creates an extremely desireable place to live that is both physically and psychologically benefical.

Folks in the industry would tell you Rivian would do better with a dealer model, with their new investment from VW, they might change their sales model too.

The other upstart EV players now in the US are on borrowed time. Fisker and Vin Fast facing a tough US market started to recruit dealers, Lucid is a losing money pit fueled by the Saudi's.

It will be interesting to see how "Scout" comes to market in 2026. They are being coy with the dealers on their plans which is drawing the ire of all dealers in the VW group.

Toyota will tell you their success is predicated on the dealer network and can list many compelling reasons why.

It may not.

Especially given VW's recently investment in Rivian.
