I think a dealer on here posted on another thread that he was told by his rep that the 2024 would not be ".2".

As Porsche has done many times before, I'd wager an "introduction" (as in press release with basic info and pics) in September. Production would start either late this year or very early 2024, thus being a 2025 model.

How did this belief that center pipes means NA motor start? The 991.2 GTS had center pipes, and a turbo engine.

Not sure. Partly from rationalizing the 4.0 liter motor to other uses. Or probably the same way as how a lot of people believe that Kim Jong Un is dead and his sister is running the show.

.2 facelift always come in year 4. Since 992 debuted in 2020, makes sense that .2 is released for 2024 MY. Likely scenario is that only some trims go .2 for 2024 MY while others trickle in for 2025 and maybe even 2026.

That's true, but they have so many special trim models built upon the 992.1 that they have to finish, plus a huge order backlog for orders for it, that I don't see an early transition to the .2. Maybe the .2 is a MY24, but is a mid year introduction or an early MY25.

Always comes in year 4? What about the 991, when it came in year 5?

Was told by my Porsche Rep that it's NOT going to be a 992.2. BUT, we've seen mid-year changes before...

Any chance that the MY24 Targa4 GTS you mentioned in the other thread is a .2? :O

Or should we expect to see S and Base before GTS's

no it’s not a .2

Comes to the market towards the end of year 4 but for the 5th year MY. So in current situation, 992.2 should debut for MY 2024 and come to market end of this year.

My dealer told me to expect GTS 1 or 2 years after the initial .2 release.
