Anyone here experiencing aggressive driving nature against their 992 from BMW 3 series drivers?
I drive in a very peaceful/safe manner and today witnessed multiple 3 series drivers floor their cars at a stoplight next to me. There are other cars on the road and the way these drivers drive creates a very unsafe environment.

I live in AZ where Porsches and BMWs are not nearly as common as when I lived in Southern California. Here in AZ when I've encountered other 992s a handful of times, they have been hyper aggressive speeding all around me trying to goad me into a race. I've not had BMWs do that to me here. BUT, when I drive my M3 around and I run into other M3s and M4s, similar thing happens. I think they are just enthusiasts and want to have a run. I'd go for it if we were at some open space with no cars or cops around. But in town, when this happens I just give them a thumbs up and watch them speed off.

yes, the BMW's seem to want to challenge you, either at a stop light or they'll pass you and rev it up.

What I’ve experienced often is if I drive normally and my car even gets ahead of them, they will speed up to unsafe speeds to get ahead of me. This is in SoCal, and where I am from there are many luxury cars on the road including exotics seen on a daily basis to provide some context. They may get more of a kick trying to race the Ferrari then the 992.

Coming from 20 C4S, I test drove an 18 R8 V10 today. What a huge disappointment, that car wins the design award, but the torque is just not there. Refused to even talk numbers with the sales guy.

That's too bad... but did you wind it out? That's where they make their power and torque. It's not going to have low RPM torque like our turbo motors but should pull just as hard, or harder than a GT3 at the top end.

In NYC it seems everyone with an Altima or Maxima is auditioning for the Fast and the Furious. Over tuned, terrible stance, loud (the bad kind) and aggressive. I try to keep my distance cause half those guys cant drive for ****.

I've owned 5 bimmers and never felt the urge to challenge on the road, but I've never had the performance car, E9, E39 x's 2 (530i 5sp sport package, the sweet spot), E92, F30, G20. My interest is more in handling dynamics rather than acceleration ... preservation of momentum through the twisties. OTOH, I have a colleague with a C7 Z06 and once my GTS is broken in, I'd like to do a pull on an empty stretch of straight road.

I did and I just didn’t feel it. I’m spoiled by the C4S.

My R8 feels much more powerful than my non-tuned 992 C2S did, but you definitely have to wring it out of the engine. The 992 gets peppier a lot lower down in the RPM range whereas that R8 doesn’t get happy until you are at least at 6k RPM
My 992 got an M Engineering Stage 2 tune, though, and with that I feel that it was about similar in speed to my R8

V10 non-perf or non-plus models are going to feel slow, not only for the lower hp but especially since their gearing isn’t that great.
