Sad news for all of those waiting. The last time that this happened, Porsche made good on things, even restarting GT2RS manufacturing after it had stopped.
I’ve been annoyed that my car has been stuck in Emden for a couple of weeks, but I am less annoyed this afternoon.
As of 18 min ago Felicity Ace still showing underway with engines at 2knots. The ship shown all burned up is likely not the correct ship. Hopefully FA is limping back to a port.
You manually enter your destination and what you're doing into the AIS, it will automatically show the speed, course, and position, which it gets from the GPS. The only thing you can be sure of is that the batteries for the instruments still have power remaining or the boat power is still working because 2 knots is a typical drift speed under some wind and current conditions. Usually boats like this will have most of the power production in the engine room but will also have at least one generator located well away from the engine room; the irony here is that's so if you have an engine room fire you can still have power to run pumps and keep the lights on where they haven't been secured to prevent the spread of fire or electrocution of the hose team. It would be extremely unusual for someone to go back onto the boat until it has cooled which is usually at least 48 hours after any heat can be detected.

Sounds like you know how this works. Now we wait. If the crew is off and it is still burning I would guess it will be a total loss.
So sorry to see this. Glad that the crew is safe.....
How will this impact allocations for new vehicles? Seems like they will be less available, and thus even higher ADM for those allocations that can be obtained.....
Bad situation all around for any current buyer.....
not that it matters a great deal as it is a tragic event no matter what; it does seem as if this latest picture is of a container ship rather than a car carrier
idk if you squint you can make out a gt3 wing in there

by no means authoritative, but the dealer for my RS6 (delivery scheduled for 6/22) says they do not expect any impact on that timing (but no communication from Audi on the issue)
This is quite devastating to hear. My first 992 S had an engine failure upon delivery, then ordered a replacement 992, and guess what...my new (replacement) 992 S is on the Felicity Ace!!! What are the odds. I'm speechless.
given that the crew appear to be safe 🤞👏🤞 - you, among everyone here of all owners, would seem to be the most deserving of sympathy for this string of bad luck.
My heart sank when I heard this, luckily my Huracan EVO just arrived in San Diego from Emden where it shipped out from. I was going to try and get a 992 GT3 but couldn't get an allocation and it was much easier this time last year getting the Huracan EVO RWD allocation below MSRP.
This is the tunnel pic that Lamborghini uploads to their Unica app for owners

Not that it will or should matter to the poster dhirm5 , but that strikes me - personally - as reflecting a very poor sense of humor or very poor taste, if not both

Statement much appreciated!
Manager of my dealership called me today and more or less said his condolences. Kidding aside, he and I both are pretty sure its a lost cause. Now I will just wait to hear back from him once Porsche contacts dealers about the next step.
Pretty frustrating to say the least. I can't lie, it has me wonderful if i even want to do this again.
