NP. That restart of modules gave me the hibbijibbies more than once until I got used to it. The whole coding is not without its stress. The cayenne process is faster and smoother, I don't know if it's CPU, RAM or Lithium battery.
So far, the change that actually changes the drive are the driving modes.

I hear you. It's damn faster and less stressful on my 2008 V8 Touareg using a VAG-COM than this.

The limited stuff I could do with durametric on my 997 and Cayenne gen 1.2 was also easier and faster.

Default MCD server.

PIWIS 3 and siblings ODIS, use MCD sever vs vag-com which talk to module directly.
The piwis comand has to go under long route of process to reach ECU so too its response.

Its like, going to your front neighbor's house trough another door via another block train station, instead of direct walk.

You can't but admire the architecture in 2021...archeologists would be delighted to dig into this...maybe some modules are still in Assembler or COBOL...

OK so someone asked about Heritage dash config. This can be found under VOF scroll to PR and Zifferblaetter Kombi Instrument illumination. The pulldown menu has the following options:

7V0 Black
7V8 Red
7V1 Chalk
8PA Indie Red
8PB Lizard Green
8PC Racing Yellow
8PD Dark Silver
8PF Heritage

I changed mine to 8PA and will do an Auto Code of Kombi in the next day or so. If anyone managed to change the display color please post. TIA

siberian

PS Skin change didn't do anything other than for a second the sketch of a 911 appears on the speedo and then vanishes. Other than that nothing despite it supporting the same number of skins as you have FOBs

just coded PSE on my non pse 992. no hardware mod at all. You can tell this is a non pse equipped one by the two diamond spare buttons. very happy with deeper sound.

similar to the "power steer plus coding" that I found. F7 additional items, under maintenance of vehicle data, the first PR family item, choose sport exhaust, F8 to save, then same procedure for automatic coding that you already know.
