Hard Agree.

$5k for some wheels?

or $1k for a machine that can do customization, upgrades, diagnostics, and maintenance?

I know which I would (and did) pick.

I'd love to but we don't ship to the lower 48s

I emailed KUFATEC to see if they could program an individual dongle they sell to activate the PSE function, they seem to sell other coding solutions ....unless Siberian wants to venture out to the lower 48....

There's just no substitute for your own analyzer, I can definitely agree that not everyone needs to have a given tool if someone near you has one and you can lend one of yours or provide a case of his/her favorite elixir in return. But whether for this or any other modification or fault finding, you need to have your own. PM me if you need a source.

I'd love to pop over to MA especially since we're under an arctic storm warning for the next 24 to 48 hours with over a foot of snow expected. I could hope my neighbor had a bobcat but I feel better knowing I have one myself ... just saying

Re. thread #98, my initial attempts to change color were not successful. However it seems I may have overlooked an item that prevented it from working if it follows the same logic as the speedo color change.

I mentioned above to change (to whatever color you want) in Zifferblaetter Kombi under F7, save and then run Auto Code. I believe that you must also change (to the same color you've chosen) the Zifferblaetter Sport Chrono/Kompass setting as they could work in tandem.

Concerning the Sport Chrono itself, I'm aware that the actual color is hardware (paper or whatever) but while on the 2020 Macan, Porsche just shines a light in the back of it, it produces a horrible IMHO washed out color anyone with basic physics and an understanding of refraction knows. If you want to amplify a color through a tinted lens, you must use a wavelength that is not filtered by the said lens. Thus if you want your dash to actually look RED (which is what you paid for rather than a washed out pink) use an LED with that wavelength not simply a halogen bulb shining onto a piece of (red/green/white...) paper. I'm thus hopeful that someone doing QA caught that and actually told them to put in an LED. The Kompass OTOH will mimic the main instrument in color via LED. If someone could confirm this would be great.

If I could now change the DRL wavelength to shine a "green" (non emergency) light...

I've not had a chance to test that due to climactic conditions.

Matrix beam code is all same for any region, it is 8G4 combined with 8IU/8JU

Does this mean we can enable this function in US cars?

It depends what code you have under HAUPTSCHEINWERFER (in VOF): If you don't have 8IU/8IS then no.

if one’s (U.S.-spec) build in fact included the matrix beam option, would the car have the necessary code 8IU/8IS required to enable the matrix functionality?
many thanks

It should. It could also have 8JU, code for black matrix headlights.

Has anyone succeeded in changing the tach/chrono color? I modded both Zifferblaetter variables in VOF (to the same color) as well as ENABLING Presentation_Mode_Multi_color_ambient_and_contour_lighting in BCM1 but it didn't do anything. Can anyone think of another variable that would need to be changed? I didn't see anything in Kombi (obvious place).

folks, sorry, to have to start over.

but, I have a 992 gt3 and have an older version of piwis3 since my 991, version 38.250 and 38.900. I would like to tinker with the 992. specifically, I'd like to turn off driver seat belt chime, turn off auto headlights, and turn off start stop.

how are you guys programming the 992? it seems everything is in German? do I have to use engineering mode?

thanks
