New Delivery Delays?
#181
Production time on TYD is typically a week as estimated, but the actual is typically 4-5 days. Unless they actually start production and leave it incomplete. August is the 2022 changeover. If it is a 2021 I suspect it will be completed in July. If it is a 2022 I suspect it won't begin production till late August or September.

My TYD change freeze point has been slipping slowly, but today the Production Start date moved from mid July to end of July and my Production Completed date moved to end of August (presumably due to factory closing).
I don’t suppose updating the build code pushes dates back at all, does it?

Same here. All dates moved a month. The delivery date was 9/5. Now it's 10/24 (PEC -LA). It's coming, so I'm happy, We just have to wait a little longer.

Ordered my 911 on December 15, 2020. Original delivery date was 5/1. TYD now claims 6/11 (bumped from 5/28 after arriving in Jacksonville). At least it is sitting in a US port. Seems like there would be some urgency to get these cars in dealers/owners hands.

I had a recent change (10 days ago) as well but I think this is a Porsche thing not a buyer induced delay. I say this based on what I've read around here as well as the discussion I had today with my SA.

MY 992 IS ON VESSEL ABOUT 1400 MILES FROM RHODE ISLAND, US. THE ORIGINAL ARRIVAL AT DEALER WAS 6/25, THEN MOVED UP TO 6/18, NOW DUE 6/11. HOPEFULLY NOTHING WILL HAPPEN AT THE PORT TO CAUSE DELAY. I’M SORRY SOME OF MY FELLOW PORSCHE FRIENDS ARE HAVING BUILD OR DELIVERY ISSUES.. I KNOW HOW THAT FEELS, I WAS ONE OF THE INDIVIDUALS WHO WERE AFFECTED BY BAD ENGINE RODS,MY 2021 CAYMAN GTS 4.O WAS ON THE PORT IN RHODE ISLAND, WHEN PORSCHE PUT A “DO NOT SELL” ORDER ON THE CAR…THATS WHEN I ORDERED THE 992 IN MARCH…
