New Delivery Delays?
My C2S build locks tomorrow as scheduled, but TYD just changed to show estimated delivery delayed exactly one month, from 6/23 to 7/23. Anyone else?
Wondering if I will ever see this car. Been trying since last October...

I noticed I have a week delay, but when I looked more closely, the tracker had my car arriving in Baltimore and arriving at my dealer in Virginia the same day. A week was added from port arrival to dealer delivery. So I’m not sure if they are just starting to firm things up as time gets closer or if it’s truly a delay. I wouldn’t be surprised if I had delays since I have several exclusiv manufaktur options that might slow my build down.

Chip shortages seem to be the most likely culprit behind the recent production delays : https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other...hs/ar-BB1dTyCv
I read also that some Porsches were recently shipped without TPMS due to the shortage and will be fitted at the port when parts arrive there.
My 2021 C2S completed production on 4/22 and was at the port of Emden a day later. But the car is not scheduled to ship until May 14 so I may be affected by the TPMS issue as that seems a long time to wait for a ship. Date due at the dealer is shown on TYD as June 6 and that is almost a week earlier than the original date.

^Mine was built 4-7 and has been at Emden since 4-9. Scheduled to get on the boat 4-30. That seems like a long time but my vessel boarding date and dealer delivery date still hasn’t changed. ETA at dealer 5-28.

Having talked to a few friends who are familiar with the import business, everything coming in is delayed/slowed. Ships are sitting anchored offshore for sometimes weeks at a time, waiting to come in to port to unload. If that's the case for other imports, I can't imagine why ships with Porsches on them wouldn't be in the same situation.

Indeed, ships arriving on the west coast are backed up - many say its a planned dockworkers slowdown. Whether true or not, its not going to get any better anytime soon.

For thread completeness, here's an updated Emden export PDF I pulled from a different thread.

Arrives into San Diego 8/6.
The dates have not changed since I got the TYD email a month ago.
I guess we're getting the last of the MY21.

My C2S is on the Viking Queen. According to TYD arrival in San Diego is on schedule, but 35 days have been added to “Port Processing “. My dealer is in San Diego . WTF?

I got a peak at an internal Porsche memo regarding the chip shortage. They were instructed that deliveries could be delayed 1-3 months. My dates have not changed since 4/7. Hoping it’s on schedule which puts it at Baltimore 5/14 and dealer 5/21.
All the best to everyone waiting...

Mine was cleared to leave the Baltimore port on 04/22 and still there.
for those of you on the west coast...I would assume the ports being backed up is behind that delay.

All these delays make me wonder - will Porsche be building 2021 and 2022 Carreras simultaneously for a while (there is very little difference)?
