Default Lucky , Beautiful car

Mine arrived in San Diego on the Viking Queen on May 11. Still sitting there, TYD says 17 more days until it arrives at the dealer 33 miles away.
However I received an email offering Porsche rental deals.
Today I received a mailer via USPS. Addressed me as a Porsche Owner and offered me Porsche Design Merchandise. It would be nice if Porsche Manufacturing was as efficient in communications as Porsche Merchandising is.

Interesting. So our babies were both on the same boat arriving May 11. Good to know you're still waiting too!

So does Porsche ! My TPMS parts arrived last week and I’ve been enjoying my car since Saturday. I’m betting the TPMS issue will be completely resolved very soon for all. BTW, the manual in the 992 is awesome (I agree with others who have posted that it’s slightly improved over the 991.2).

Excellent! I’m looking forward to that slick shifting 7MT.

Rumor has it, it is NOT the TPMS "sensors", it is the TPMS "sensor" - the one that takes the info from the "sensors on the wheels" and translates it for the PCM. So I don't think that is the same part that Tirerack has. But that's just based on what others have posted.

^Correct. My GM explained that it’s a central sensor that is affixed to the underside of the car. I asked because I was concerned about the factory balance and bead being affected if they broke down all four wheels to install a TPMS sensor (which was my assumption). I was relieved to know they don’t touch the wheels/tires, and simply attach a new sensor under the car and then drive it until it learns the info. Since the cars have limits on speed until PDI by the dealer - it prevents “joy-rides” or abuse. It doesn’t safeguard the car from ALL problems (like accident) but it removes some concern from the equation.

My car looked great when it got to the dealer and I can’t wait to get it home and start driving it!

Below are the three messages that cycled when the car was started. It’s comforting to know it can’t be driven faster than 20 mph until the dealer completes PDI. I moved the car from one space to another, and nothing on it worked (no A/C, no seat adjustment other than manual…everything was disabled other than starting the engine and putting into gear)

It arrived with 9.7 miles.

SA contacted me today to tell me delivery will most likely get pushed to middle of next week. My car sat at Emden for nearly 1 month till it boarded the Rcc Classic. Now it’s been sitting in Baltimore since 5-18.
Getting frustrated with this wait.

Same here. My C2S sits in Baltimore, and my dealer has been incommunicado. TYD says 2 days til delivery. Needless to say, I'm skeptical. At least your SA gave you a call.

My TYD lock date and delivery date moved by about 30 days. Delivery was 9/3/21 and is now 10/7/21. This is for a '22 C2S. It is what it is. Just hoping it doesn't slip more.

My TYD change freeze point has been slipping slowly, but today the Production Start date moved from mid July to end of July and my Production Completed date moved to end of August (presumably due to factory closing).

I don’t suppose updating the build code pushes dates back at all, does it?

Production time on TYD is typically a week as estimated, but the actual is typically 4-5 days. Unless they actually start production and leave it incomplete. August is the 2022 changeover. If it is a 2021 I suspect it will be completed in July. If it is a 2022 I suspect it won't begin production till late August or September.
