Yeap , Pretty much my mindset on that as well , same went for me personally with the color matched tach ring. Initially it was like putting glo gauges back in the day on a civic . Now they’ve grown on me and kinda wish I woulda done it in red to match the seatbelts but i won’t lose sleep over it

Interesting that a PDK Carrera could reach 312 km/h and a Carrera T with the sport design package and manual gearbox only 303 km/h (~288 km/h GPS).
0-100 km/h in 4.36 s
100-200 km/h in 9.84 s
Thats why I didn’t get the sport design package

It's christened...

At least it's parked. It kinda looks good wet, but I don't plan on making a habit of this!

From "Walter #16 20203". Have no idea if this was posted back in April.

Been waiting for this and hopefully the full review to come. As to the Autobahn blast, I'm wondering if grabbing 6th rather than holding 5th far past the power peak at 6500rpm held the speed back.

It should have been tried. Peak power is 6,500 and torque is pretty flat the whole way, so there's no reason to go to redline really. Typically, one goes past peak HP so that when you shift, the new gear is not put below the power band of torque, but the T torque curve is very flat.

Also wondering exactly that. Why he kept it at redline in 5th instead of changing into 6th and see what happens.
My M3 CS behaves similarly when going up on a slight incline: at around 270 km/h, keeps 5th at redline for a few moments longer, then changes into 6th and starts accelerating again.

As most of you already know mine went to 308km/h in 6th gear and there was still some room left. 310km/h definitely possible. Maybe more.

No sport design package. Just a broken windshield

Shorter final drive ratio might have something to do with 992T slightly lower top-end.
I much prefer shorter final drive, it’s more fun across the entire range and I have no intention of going +300 km/h.

I thought shorter final drive was only a 991.2 T thing...not on the 992T?
