I know these guys do it for a living, but I am not entirely convinced that I want my 992 stripped like that to apply PPF. I think I will just do ceramics.
You don't have to do it that way. Some do, some don't. And some do a really good job of hiding seams without removing things like headlights. My opinion is that it's PPF, it's there to protect without detracting from the look of the car. I'm ok seeing some seams if you can only see them by REALLY inspecting and hunting for them with your nose inches away from the paint. But whichever installation method you use, PPF offers far superior and nearly permanent protection over ceramic for stone chips and other mishaps. Honestly, ceramic and PPF should not be an either or as they are just very different products and really they do different things.
I've aided on a few suspension jobs in the past but never done a full job on my own so this will be an awesome learning experience and good way to get to know the T.
Will try and snap pics throughout and update as I go

I tend to agree, softer PPF is better protection against hard stones. Hard and thin ceramic layer is no match for stones, but it is great for scratches and for cleaning.

I'd be very interested in a swap of black bucket seats, but as others have said... The dealers are telling customers that this is an expensive/complex job that requires new hardware and rail system, so you would need to take seats and rails out of your car, and the different rails may potentially have a different bolt pattern so this may not be a compatible swap... If we find out that the rails can be swapped and everything is plug and play, I would happily take buckets off your hands!
Bolting them in isn't the issue. It's the cost and the time to have the seats properly coded to the car. You are looking at close to $20k for a $5900 option. Obviously you are left with a second set of seats, but it is a pricey path.

WHAT?! What is being done that requires over 40 hours of labor, assuming a liberal $300/hr rate?!
Now that the Carrera T is hitting the streets, does it make sense for this thread to continue to be called the "992 Carrera T Announcement - Discussion - Pricing + Specs" or would it make more sense to rename it to something like the "911 T owners club" thread on the 991 forum? We're no longer here to discuss pricing and specs. It's now a hangout for T owners. I propose a change to "911 Carrera T owners club" or "992 Carrera T owners club" tipping our hats to the guys in the 991 forum who started their own club (no base, or S, or GTS clubs) and also nodding to the proper designation of the car. Makes sense?
Brilliant! I thought about this a few times myself whenever someone was saying he didn’t know about this topic. It appears to scare some people off, who then start a new thread for something that could easily go into this thread. Of course certain subjects deserve their own topic.
992 Carrera T owners club
This would be clearly my vote since it’s only the 992 here.

I would like nothing more than to be able to edit my original post with updated facts, links, figures, and change the title of the thread (which is on the way to dethroning the 992 waiting room thread, by the way).
However… it’s locked for me. No ability to edit or make changes, or adjust the title. In fact, a mod changed the title when the T was announced.
I would vote for what @Macboy advocated for, or perhaps 992 Carrera T Discussion in order to avoid confusion with people that aren’t “yet” owners

Great that you're on board with this. When you try to edit, does it let you click the advanced button? If you're truly locked out, perhaps we can ask a mod to do it for you...
